You are planning to give treatment to a patient. in relation to mealtime, how far in advance should this be done?
when time does not permit completion of A.M.care for the patient, what should be done????
why is it necessary to remove lipstick and nail polish from the patient before going to the operating room?

Nail polish is removed because it may interfere with obtaining an accurate 02 sat measurement. Lipstick is removed in order to observe for signs of circumoral cyanosis which may indicate that the patient is not well oxygenated.

Are you asking us to do your homework for you? These sound like homework questions.

allnurses.com does not equal "nursingschoolhomework.com"
And also, you miss spelled "ThankS" on your previous thread! Don't use a Z when you know it should be an S and do your own homework so that you can pass your own board exam!

We are NOT here to answer your homework questions. Do the research, write or type your own answers and perhaps acutally RETAIN some information longer than to complete the assignment. Learning is a wonderful thing. This is information you will LATER need to pass NCLEX. Do yourself a favor and start now while in school studying every day for boards. You may surprise yourself when the computer shuts off at that magical 75 questions and you are able to sign RN after your name.

I precept senior nursing students during their transition clinicals. I ask them many challenging questions that invlove critical thinking. If they do not know the answer, I make them look it up. Not only will they find the answer, but also the resources available for information. As a general rule, do not solely rely on the answers of others as your source for a knowledge base. There are some nurses out there that make up things as they go. Do yourself a favor... become a smart, educated nurse!
