Questions about NCLEX

They are adding different types of questions to the original format... The majority of the test will still be multiple choice, but you may have fill in the blank, choose all that match, pictures/graphs to answer questions from etc... But NO they are not getting rid of multiple choice

Yes, after May this year the new, more difficult-to-pass NCLEX is making its grand appearance. :uhoh21: This test may include a FEW multiple-choice-multiple-answer questions, and/or a few fill-in-the-blank questions.

Yep i heard they were working on a fill-in-the-blank format a couple years ago. Thank god i passed mine 2 years ago. Good luck.

I know factually, that the new NCLEX will have more pharmacology on it...So I would know drugs and their side effects and interactions...I know this because I sit on a review panel for the NCLEX RN....And yes there will be fill in the blank...More than likely dosage calculations....pretty much all I can say...about it...So study the drugs and more drugs....Hope this helps....

from what i read it looks as though it is primarily drug calculations.......so let none of us worry. it will be alright :)....

Thanks for this posting. I am a 20 year nursing vet, who wants to write the NCLEX. I have been out of bedside nursing for many years. But, I have lots of experience with meds so that may be my salvation.
