It's possible according to some to take the NCLEX, but in my understanding, it depends on what kind of visa you're having now.If let's say you still don't have a visa, then applying for a sponsorship is the only way you can go, i would still recommend having the NLE, for one qualification in your credentials when you seek the help of an agency.Although there are states who will not require the CGFNS,but getting an eligibility in NCLEX,you will still find a sponsor hospital, and having a license will be a big credit in your qualifications to be submitted for evaluation of your credentials. This is just a motherly thoughts. There's nothing to lose if you take the exam. You will be proud to be introduce as an RN from the Phil.

sorry, but i do not agree with your premise at all. if the nurse is not going to work in the philipines, then why take the nle? if they do not pass the exam, they more than likely will be stuck there until they do. you must answer appropriately on the application that you took the exam, and are waiting for results, or did not pass if that is the case, and that will only delay you.

whether or not you have a license in another country has absolutely no bearing on a license in the us. even trying to get six months experince overseas does not make one bit of difference to an employer here.

cgfns exam requires that you take the nle, it is not required for licensure in the us. and it does not matter which type of visa, you need to have a green card to work as an rn as the final step. hosptials want to see that nclex-rn exam was passed, they could care less about any of the other things.

rn after your name from another country means nothing in the us, until you pass the nclex-rn here.

the us requires a completed transcript to get approval to sit for the nclex-rn exam. cgfns requires a local license, but only a handful of states actually require the examwherre you cannot endorse even without it.

you do not need to take the nle. unless you want to, and are going to actually be working in a state that requires it.
