Crazy! I never would have thought that the nursing boards could take less then an hour and only be 75 questions.
It wasn't bad taking it either.
The drug questions were awful because I never heard of most of them. I had to really think about the answers and look at clues in the words and such.
It is a test about priority and nursing rather then straight medical knowledge. You can know everything about a COPD patient, a heart failure patient and so on but if you don't know which patient is more critical then you aren't going to do well.
You need to know how to care for the patient not just the disease.
It is not what I expected.
I had 2 math. The first math was fill in the blank and it was a bear. The 2nd one was also a fill in the blank and so easy. I was shocked that the first was hard and the 2nd easy.
I had a decent amount of SATA and a lot of drugs. I also had a herbal type drug on there too. We were told they were fair game and I got one.
God luck to everyone!

Thank you!
I realized that after I sent it through. I'm no longer a stay at home mom or a student. I'll have to think of something....

I took my NCLEX on Tuesday and my computer stopped at 75 as well, do you think then that this number sounds promising?
I took longer than you, I took one hour and a half (slow reader). But I'm hoping for the best. Let me know what you guys think. My theory on this one is if I wasn't doing well, then the computer would've kept asking questions right?

They say you can't know but it seems like most people who turn off at 75 do pass...but it's certainly no guarantee.
I knew that if I failed it was because of pharm. I figured it may have decided I had no hope of being safe in that area and that would be my reason to turn off. Apparently I didn't screw up pharm.
I told my 9 year old son when he got home from school and all he had to say was "told ya so". He had triple dog dared me to pass before I went and took it.
OMG I hope you're right. One thing I forgot to tell you is that this was my second time taking the exam. The first time I had 265 questions over 5 hours of pain...This time aroung I studied for 5 weeks straight using Kaplan, I exhausted all of the 1,000 questions on Q bank and question trainers.
So I hope this is a positive outcome for me. I couldn't do this again. Most of my class that had 75 questions did pass.

You can pass at any number, Some pass at the maximum/minimum just like some fail at the maximum/minimum. Myself and a fellow classmate of mine failed with 265 questions, but when we retook it we passed at 75. It just depends. I hope you did well.
Congrats SAHStudent!
Well I'll keep you posted. I think 75 sounds a little more reassuring than 265. Thanks again.
When I left I was in such shock. The screen went blank and it felt like forever before it told me I was done. I think I then sat there for a while thinking "oh ****".
I kept telling myself that I hear more people passing at 75 then failing and I did my best and what is done is done. I walked away with a lot less stress then I thought I would have. My husband was stalking the state and Pearson site.
Just keep repeating...85% pass on the first try and most people say that at 75 they passed. That was my mantra until this morning.
