Don't get into bar fights or take selfies hanging off seventh story balconies. Don't use "ur" as if it were an actual word.

Don't spell "HIPAA" as "HIPPA". Don't take patients' photos and post them on social media.

Oh for the love of Pete, yes!

I read a dissertation the other day (I hope it was a draft) that had HIPPAA. I guess she couldn't make up her mind which of the two had two.

I always imagine a female hippo when people write HIPPA.

What advice would you give nursing students
I'd advise nursing students that the shiny acute care hospital is not the only potential workplace for them, unless they enjoy slinging bedpans, busting their butt thanklessly, and reciting phony scripts to promote 'customer service.'
Don't eat yellow snow.

Don't go where the huskies go!

Frank Zappa!

Nor should you take a photo of their personal record and post it on social media, no matter how famous the person in your community is. Yes, this really happened at the facility I used to work at. Sadly, she was the compliance officer.

Better yet, don't post anything work related on social media. Just don't. There have been many threads about social media and posters commenting, "well I thought x was ok to post....." after the fact.
