hi fellow nurses:does anyone know if the army reserves offer the generic course selection program in your contact like active duty does? or do you have join then request to attend the school once your in (which is subject to unit funding, mission, and whims)? yes, as a reservist you can request to attend the psych nurse course but you first must attend oblc, have a passing record apft, and, of course, it is all subject to your tpu's fy funding, metl, and whims!
for ac one can request to attend but it will cost the officer an additional one year adso (active duty service obligation)
also, i'm particularly interested in 66c psychiatric nurse course. also has anyone every attended this course. i read the description but would like to know more about what does it exactly teach in terms of academics and clinical experience. a cpt in my company was all set to go to the psych nurse course up at wr, but we have deployment orders so her schooling will be on hold, for now.
good luck!
