I am impressed by the sheer fact that the professor sends out emails encouraging the students and giving advice on time management, etc. He has even been involved in the tech issues of mod 1. Gotta use Firefox. He did say mod 4 and 5 will be the most challenging. Some students have net even logged into the course yet...how stupid!!! It's hard to wrap my head around some of the concepts but I just need to get thru it even if I don't completely understand :uhoh3:

Yes quite impressed also. I would guarantee that some people probably haven't gotten the books either. I took a class last summer where someone popped in 3 days after the midterm (which was proctored) was closed wanting to know how to access the test online :( Obviously they skipped that part in the syllabus, the outline, the announcements...

Also wanted to add that class hasn't officially started and the professor is already very involved. Not everyone would do this and he doesn't have to--but he is. The regular emails and encouragement mean a lot.

Practice, Practice, Practice............. I went through many practice question twice to be sure I got it. And sometimes I looked up different Youtube video's which helped hearing it explained in a different way.

Where did you get additional practice questions?

Professor K had practice questions in the course notes and with the video's that she posted.

Oh so does Professor L. I thought you did more in addition to those!

Good luck to you all with Stats this fall! If I can do it, you can do it too! (Gee, that sounds like a commercial for Everest Institute lol). But seriously, I have had a lot of issues with math in school; when I was in grade school my parents actually hired a private math tutor for me because I had such a hard time with even division/multiplication. But even with that kind of history, I was able to make it through!

I really don't understand why they have to make this class so complicated at times.....we are not math majors! Assignment 4 is killing me!

Aren't you glad we are working a week ahead? I am still wading through module 3 and working on my other class to get it out of the way for the week. Did you get your proctor set up and approved for the midterm?

Yes so glad! I'm working on finding a library to do it.

Does your hospital have a library and a librarian? That's who proctored my nutrition tests.

We don't have a library there anymore. And we need a proctor for nutrition???? Oh jeez.....And good luck trying to find somebody in the same institution......
