truly, i am sending the california board of nursing some garbage bags, along with instructions for use. if they follow the instructions, then california will have a better health care system :).

If you're referring to work experience as "clinical time," that's not entirely true. EC only requires the LICENSE. You don't have to work a day if you don't want to. That was part of the problem in California.

WHEN did I ever say that? I didn't. Before you start misquoting me and calling people names, why don't you read the posts again.

I've said it before and I'll say it again since people don't seem to pay attention. Of course acute care LVN's with ten experience were not the problem in California. The problem was people getting quickie licenses like MA's and EMT's who never even worked in those positions because EC never required it.

Do I think those people would benefit from school clinicals ... yes. Obviously. Are school clinicals merely a "tour" and completely worthless? No. Does that make me an experienced RN or more qualified than an experienced RN. Of course not. I NEVER said that.

Before yet another thread gets shut down ... why don't people actually read the posts and quit with the insults. It would probably avoid a lot of trouble.

An EMT liscense is not easy to get, EMT-P(Paramedics) have worked in those positions they have tons of clinical time, so please do you research before you start talking about subject that you have no knowledge of. We all aoplogize that you have to go through a traditional program, and didnt qualify for the EC nursing program, You must have some connection with California nursing board, because you sure sound like them, maybe one day you will get over your jealousy of EC grads, please get a life!

Liz I was accepted into the program as EMT-B but I'm also I'm a military corpsman which makes me eligible for their program,but you are still missing the point, Just like Traumahawk said in an earlier post EC has changed their admission guidelines so what's the holdup with California?

And you expect me to answer all of these questions with all of these personal insults?

I don't think so. We may disagree, but I have NEVER personally insulted any of you.
