Determining time for next dose- please help!!!!
If we follow your logic and start the med at 2000 it'll be finished at 2100 which is 9 hours in between doses. You do it however many hours after the START time. So if the first one is started at 1100, next dose should be 1900 for 7 pm

IV drip questions?
Should be 300 mg/250 mL x 21 mL/x hours so the mL will cancel out and that'll leave you with mg/hr

Just took NCLEX and no one knows
When I was getting ready for NCLEX, I would always tell everyone the day that I was going to take it when they asked. I never really thought about it like OMG what if I don't pass and have to tell everyone when they ask how it went. Luckily my state (Pennsylvania) does quick results and I bought it. I took my NCLEX on a Friday in the afternoon and I found out that Sunday night via quick results that I passed. I was actually at a jewelry party that my friend was hosting and a few of my high school teachers were there and they knew I was waiting on my results so it was nice to have them right there when I got my unofficial results. My license was posted the next day (Monday) and my mom was mad at me for spending the $8 to get my results but I told her that I've spent more on less and I got the best night's sleep that night.

Will my ticket affect my nursing career?
I don't think BON cares about traffic tickets...as long as they are handled. I have some speeding tickets and a careless driving (I was driving with directions on my steering wheel) ticket. I put them on my one application for my license just in case. I didn't have any problems with getting my license. I've been an RN since July and I started my first nursing job in August. Hope this helps.

How do i approach Priortization questions on Nclex?
A helpful way to approach prioritization questions is to think about it this way: "If you walk into the room and can only do 1 of the options and then walk out, which one would be most helpful to the patient?"

West Chester advance 2 BSN
Hey I went to West Chester! I was lucky enough to get into the BSN program right away. I don't know much about the A2B aspect of it, but please let me know if you have any questions about professors and classes. I'd love to help.

Considering a career in Nursing/Midwifery... Help!
I too want to become a midwife. I just received my BSN in May, passed my NCLEX in mid-July in 75 questions :), and started 2 weeks ago in OB (which is post-partum, nursery, labor and delivery, and we also cross-train to pediatrics). I have loved every single minute of it. I did not work as a CNA or anything while in college (which I somewhat regret) so I feel like I need a few years of experience before I try to go back for my Master's degree. Before I even started nursing school, I always wanted to be a labor and delivery nurse. When I was in my Maternity rotation, I saw a birth, but I just saw the differences between what we learned in nursing school about birth compared to how the OBGYN performed the delivery. It was at that point that I decided that I wanted to become a midwife. To answer some of your questions, I knew I could handle it because there are always drawbacks to jobs, some are more serious than others. For me, it would mean doing something that I am so passionate about and doing my best to provide the best possible birthing experience for a woman. It will not be an easy job by any means, no matter which area of nursing you would get into. There will be a lot of good days and some very bad days, but you just have to remember why you wanted to get into the profession in the first place. There will be some patients that will stay in your mind forever.
