Blah Blah Blah blah..... Vero. Good Luck and beware
  3. Because of all the nonsense.... Traveling is where it's at. I'll never go back to Staff work.
  4. I can assure you regardless of gender, if these were relatively young- new nurses , they would've been fired in most hospitals.

Check out "VERO RN." They have exclusivity to Guam.

Thanks for the info!!! I'm planning to spend most of each year working in Guam, for the rest of my Life. It's great thats its so close to the Philippines. . Thanks for telling me. -Greg-

I'm going to Guam! Just signed a 13 week contract. Starting middle of January. Can't wait. My family and I live in Manila, so it's close. Never been to Guam but looking forward to working there and exploring the island.
  8. I say whatever i want on FB because nobody new in my life can find me on it. I'm only friends with people from Many Many Many Years ago. I'm unfindable because I don't use my real name. Whenever the up to date people in my life ask me if I have FB, I say nope, I don't use FB. So I only have an old circle of FB friends under a false name. Oh.... And I don't post photos. I say whatever I feel or what's on my mind. PERFECTION!
  9. My very first travel nursing job I brought home double what i made when I was a staff nurse. I also brought home double the staff nurses i worked with my first travel job. How does one earn a ton? You work in locations nobody else wants to work in.............. meaning travelers and staff alike. Any place nice Pays Crap money.
  10. SHARP, CHULA VISTA ER is terrible for travelers. 95% of the ER is operated by New-Grads. The Hospital has received multiple multiple fines by DOH, for THOUSANDS of dollars. There's hardly any experienced nurses. They become threatened when superiorly experienced RN's arrive, and make it so you quit. They seem to thrive off of having mostly inexperienced, new-grad RN's and the 6 senior nurses there (who mind you never worked anywhere else but the Philippines) love it this way. Even the senior nurses are very inexperienced and don't realize they don't know, What they don't know. Anyway. Don't travel here. The hospital has been sued so many times. They treat their nurses like little children (which most of them are like 22-23 yrs old). SIDE NOTE: A Surgeon here removed the wrong kidney from a patient. They kept him. But they fire RN's for forgetting to click a box in CERNER. lol. I'll complete this contract, and Will never return. Next time i travel to San Diego, I'll go to a reputable healthcare aystem like UCSD or Scripps. Also, the ER DR's at SHARP are definitely the "C" team. Obviously couldn't hack it at UCSD or a major tertiary care medical center.
  11. Been doing it 15 years and I'm very young. I'M GETTING OUT. NURSING SUCKS!
  12. It's really no wonder 95% of their staff in the ER are new grads. I swear, nobody has any experience including their 6 "Senior Nurses." Everyone else is under a year. Amazing a place can operate that way. They're also threatened by anybody who shows up with superior experience. It's obvious they're all threatened, because they treat those people like crap. They actually enjoy not having a single, critically-experienced person who has longevity in the field. It's very apparent.
  13. The entire SHARP Healthcare system is comprised of mostly New-Grads. lol. FUNNY.
  14. GOTCHA.
  15. Yea! Look at you. You responded lol. I figured someone would see it.
  16. I totally agree with you Ned. I've learned a lot from you reading your posts. I actually do everything by the book. I'm gonna tell you though.... I've met a ton of travelers who do everything they're technically not supposed to do. Almost everyone I've met does the opposite of what you recommend. They don't care. They do make a lot of money. None of them have ever been audited. I've never met a travel RN who's been audited doing all the wrong stuff tax-wize. Anyway.... just saying. lol. But you're right about what you post. I suppose they're confident their odds of getting away with it are pretty good.
  17. Yes... I exaggerated. 1% ..... still great odds! lol
  18. Every new facility is going to be very different I have a feeling. I'm on my second Travel contract. The first one was easy-peazy for me. It was a breeze and I performed well straight from the start. They loved me so much, the manager gave me her personal cell phone number to come back. Now, On my second assignment clear across the country. Not so much. I'm having a lot of difficulty adjusting to the new documentation. It's like nothing I've never done before. What makes it so difficult is that their paperwork and documentation are very complex AND management rides you for every little thing. They're over the top extremely scrutinizing. It's outta hand. If I don't end up getting fired from this travel job due to "poor Documentation", I'll never return once completed. They stress me out.
  19. You're stressing over nothing. You have better chances of being struck by lightning, than being audited by the IRS. :) HAVE FUN! lol
  20. oh wow. We should talk more about this. This place has a ton of internal drama. Most recently in the past year. .... i've discovered all their problems. I heard they recently almost went on strike. The hospital has been fined like crazy. Now management takes all their frustrations out on their nurses. Not good. Not good at all.
  21. Their ER isn't a good place for travelers. I won't return.
  22. This is why I keep my social Media life segregated from my work / professional Life. I use a different name on Social Media. I never become friends with anyone at work. Never managers or co-workers.I provide no personal information about myself on my site, including where or who I work for. NEVER POST ANYTHING FROM OR ABOUT WORK. I Only friend people who know me from the VERY VERY FAR past. I'm unfindable to new people. ANYBODY WHO DOES THE EXACT OPPOSITE OF WHAT I DO IS ASKING TO BE FIRED, OR SIMPLY NOT HIRED.
  23. How is the mail system there? Good? US postal service, FEDEX, UPS all good? Thank You. 😀
  24. aaaaahhhh..... good points.
