  1. Thanks all for the words of wisdom and encouragement, it helps alot to know I am not alone in feeling like this
  2. Help. I just started my first nursing assignment and I am totally stressed out, I feel like my patients are in danger because I am trying to figure out the policies and procedure of this new place, instead of concentrating on patient care. Now I'm scared that I am not cut out for this? Is this normal? What was your first travel nursing experience like? Did you have any severe stress? Does this happen at the beginning of every travel assignment? How long does it take to "get in the groove? during each assignment, or do you ever?
  3. Thanks for the reply. Were the courses part of your orientation? Or how did that work?
  4. I am a graduating in may and need to know if it would be much more benificial to work on a tele unit rather than med/surg? I was hired for a position in med/surg at the hospital I have worked for for 6 years. I am also precepting on this unit so it would be an easier transition, but I know on tele I would learn all the cardiac drugs and monitors. I was offered a postion at another local hospital on their tele unit. I don't really want to leave my hospital, but they are not hiring anymore new grads now on tele there. What should I do?
