I believe that class will be 1 or 2 days a week with clinical starting in the second semester for 2-3 days a week. I think we will learn alot at orientation in a few weeks. Do you want to meet up there?

Have they gotten rid of Respiratory Therapists where you work, also?
I work in the emergency deparment and we do not use RT. We give our own neb treatments, collect ABG's, etc. the only thing we use RT for is to bring us down bipaps and collect RSV.

Power port/mediport
When in question if the patient has a chest xray, the port will say on it if it is power point (shows up on xray). At least the ones our facility uses do.

Cleveland Community also has an LPN program. It is only 45 minutes outside of charlotte. I would much rather drive that far then pay out the butt for the same degree

Our badges have our first name and last initial on them when issued. almost everyone, including me, covered our last initial with a sticker or something

It is called the "pull" system and it is supposed to improve patient flow. The ICU has been receptive so far.
