I work at a family clinic in rural KY. My initial salary was $ 25. After 2 years I make $30/hr w/out benefits. I works not only for clinical stuff, but also IT stuff. I fix almost all computer/EMR and IT problems. Am I underpaid ??? What do you think ??

There are some rumors about ADN RN is not eligible anymore to apply for a green card. Is that a true ? I will finish my ADN next year. I can't go any further for BSN. I'm broke and tired, already. Thank you for the reply.

Hi all and especially you madam/miss Suzanne. What is your sudgestion if you hold ADN RN degree from a school and missed OPT opportunity from that school. And then you tranferred to different school as F-1, major in surgical technology. Can I apply OPT while I go to that school ? Thank you in advance.

What the..... I chose ADN over BSN 2 years ago, because its elligibility for ADN RN applying GC. At the beginning, I wanted to apply BSN accelaration prgram for people who hold Bach degree, and I got one. But, because of money or financial reasons I chose ADN. How many visa quota each country will get. I'am an Indonesian, do you thing I would get a better chance to get it since a low rate Indonesian immigrants ?

charliehbk, ape kabar ! (kalau ande bise bahase melayu) I'm a nursing student guy, will be graduated next year. Don't worry about your gender. The nursing program usually asks of your GPA, ACT and NLN before you get in. However, it would be better you do some surveys or ask the competent one before you apply. Good luck !

Hi all. I graduated and get AAS degree in nursing this May, but I didn't pass NCLEX exam. To take another NCLEX exam I have to wait at least three months. But I will out of status in the next two months if I don't continue my school. I got a plan to apply NCLEX prep at Kaplan. Kaplan will provide me an I-20. My question is, can I get OPT from Kaplan ??

Is this condition will last forever ? If there is no more hospital willingly to give us (International nurses) petition, what we are studied for ? I am going to graduate in 2008, does anybody think that I won't get a job and GC here ? So, It means nursing education is no longer worthed for International students, doesn't it ?

I live in Kentucky, and would be graduated in 2008. My friend will be graduated this year. She already tried to find some information about hospitals that can give a sponsorship, But none of them is no longer provide sponsorship for foreign nurses. Yup, I think, In the Kentucky there's no more nurse shortage over there. Any body can help me to share the information about hospitals or states that still giving a sponsorship. thank you in advanced for your response.

I have a year permit under economical hardship reason, and it can be renewed. Any way, along time ago I have read Suzanne4 ever posted that LPN still can get GC, but the process will take longer than RN. And also from internet I found an attorney told that LPN still elligible under circumstances. But the problem, Suzanne4 and that attorney didn't explain it very detail.

Why ? After I read some threads that LPN Jobs not much different than ADN RN, I think I'm still qualified if compared with new RNs from other countries who come here for nurse jobs.

Beside I pay $ 1.200.00/semester cheaper at LPN, I also heve a plan to get a job after graduated from LPN, and continue RN program while I am working. If LPN get a GC much longer than RN, it won't be a problem for me, at least my family still survive and my daughter still can get some good food to be eat.

I REally want to know, Can LPN to get a GC ? Honnest, I am so confused right know. I already accepted in ADN program at a University that 30 miles away from my appartment. The worst thing a teacher told me that clincical site will be arround 65 miles away from my apartment. The problem is, I already have a familiy, and I also a job that cannot be leaved. My financial very limmited. On the other side, I already accepted in a LPN program at a community college near where I live. And also the clinical sites would pretty close from my appertement. So back to my question, Is there any chance for me to get GC if I graduated from LPN ? Do you think is there any possibility an LPN to BSN program (in site or not online one ) in the next future ?
