  1. It really depends on the school, but some community colleges here in CA require a minimum score of 62-64% to be considered eligible for the Nursing Program.
  2. I would not worry, when I called the school on Thursday they told me that the acceptance emails will be sent out at the end of that day, and that I should be receiving the email possibly Monday... But I told them I received the email, and they mentioned that a acceptance letter will also be sent. The pre registration session is Friday June 10, so you still have plenty of time to receive the email.
  3. Congrats! I just checked my email, and I have been accepted as well!
  4. I do agree it does depend on the program you wish to apply. Also, by any chance would this be considered your first repeat in the sciences? I only ask because it would be a good idea to know how many repeats your nursing school accepts, before making a decision on whether or not you should retake the class. I would also recommend speaking to a college/nursing counselor first before you take any action as well, just because they would be more familiar with these types of situations, and they can help put your mind at ease and help you out.
  5. No, I declined because I was accepted into Rio Hondo, and that was my first choice.
  6. Congratulations to everyone that got accepted. [emoji322][emoji322][emoji322][emoji322] I just got a call from LACC as well.
  7. Did they send you an email regarding your acceptance, or did you get a phone call?
  8. Compared to A&P and Chem, nutrition touches more on the concepts of a healthy diet, carbs, proteins, fats, and vitamins etc. I personally enjoyed the course, it was a really interesting subject and it really makes you think about your eating patterns, and how you can change them to become more healthier.
  9. @Dspty4 I applied to LATC, LACC, LA County, Rio Hondo, PCC, GCC, and LAHC.
  10. Ohhh I see. Is GCC the only school you applied to for this term?
  11. Have you received an email that they sent out last week? It had to be one or the other, either you got an invite to take the Teas, or a confirmation that they received your scores.
  12. I believe that those that have taken the Teas receive a confirmation email that GCC has received their scores, and those that still need to take the Teas get an invite. The email that I received was just a confirmation.
  13. What has been your experience with study groups in nursing school? Do you prefer them, or do you prefer to study alone?
  14. Never mind, I just got the email letting me know they received my Teas scores[emoji4].
  15. Unfortunately I got rejected from CSULA and got accepted into my alternative major [emoji17] However, I received an acceptance letter for an ADN program that I applied to... So in a way it all worked out. Lol
  16. Really? I haven't received any emails from GCC, I even checked my spam lol. I did turn in my TEAS scores around the same time I turned in my application though, so that is probably why I didn't receive an invitation.
  17. Yeah I stopped by today and I was told the exact same thing.
  18. Really? So they did the lottery already?
  19. I calculated my points and I got 24. However, I called admissions after seeing the admitted in my GET status, and they told me that the Nursing department rejected me and that they decided I should go into nutritional science instead since it was my alternative major.. So I guess no CSULA nursing for me.
  20. Sorry never mind, I thought I read 5 years lol 5 months seems about right. Would you consider looking at schools in the LA area?
  21. Well, not all community colleges in California have a wait list. It really depends on the school. However, I have heard some nursing schools in California have a wait listing time from 2-3 years, but I have never heard 5 years?! That seems odd, and way too long.
  22. I preferred physiology over anatomy, only because I love puzzles so I looked at physio like a puzzle since one thing could be the cause of many different things. Microbiology was my absolute favorite pre req though, I loved learning about microbes, and the different types of diseases. However, I became a germaphobe after that class, and now I have to have hand sensitizer on deck lol [emoji23]
  23. They sent them out last week I believe I'm not too sure, but I received mines two days ago via mail :) It basically says that we got provisional acceptance, and that we have to attend an orientation in order to keep our spot or they will give it to the next eligible applicant.
  24. I applied for the upcoming semester, and they are already sending out letters🤗I just received provisional acceptance to Rio Hondo's Nursing Program [emoji4]
  25. Has anybody at least received an email regarding acceptance not to the SON but the actual university?
