  1. How has the Pleasant Prarie program been, for those who have begun? I am considering it, but nervous about the newness of it plus costs and no NCLEX pass rates to go off of yet.
  2. Hello! How is it now? Would you recommend the program at this point?
  3. So for those of you who have started the program, how do you like it? I am looking at Pleasant Prarie. Thank you for any input!
  4. Congratulations! Which campus?
  5. I'm curious if you applied and got it? My grades are similar and I am also considering retaking A&P.
  6. How is your experience at CLC? Is it difficult to get in to? I have C's in anatomy and wondering if I should retake them.
  7. Hello- I just looked up CLC because I'll be starting pre req's in the fall. How has your experience been so far? Are you doing the nursing program there or somewhere else?
  8. Thanks for checking in. Without a science or math background, it has been challenging for me to wrap my brain around things, but I am doing it! I think we are twins! I also have a self employed husband who makes our bread and butter, but retirement and health insurance scare me. I gave up my church job for Anatomy study time! I still get called as a sub but I miss it. And I teach a tiny bit but sent my students to another teacher so I would have time for school. However, I feel totally comfortable with my decision and am very happy at the prospect of "making a difference" in a different and important way. My little one is very young so studying is hard. I have one more pre-req until my next task of getting into a nursing program! I'd love to connect with you personally. I know of only two other musicians (both who had good careers) turned nursing students.
  9. I need a come to Jesus talk. I'm in A&P 1 and am having a hard time. I'm currently have a C, I'm pretty sure I failed my last lecture exam. I've always been an A/B student. Right now, I'm reconsidering nursing and just wondering if I will be able to handle what is ahead. I'm also an adult student with previous degrees so perhaps I just have no idea how to study! I'm working on changing things up. I'm having trouble with the amount of content and also memorizing. Any suggestions?
  10. were you able to get a job with your ADN while getting your BSN? Or did you have to get your BSN first?
  11. Thanks for the insight. Being the most expensive program in the Chicagoland area, I want to know that it is a stellar option before I consider it.
  12. Wow, this is beautiful. What an honorable profession. Thank you for sharing this.
  13. Hi guys, congrats on getting in! I'm curious why you chose Loyola over depauls menp or rush? I'm in pre reqs now and will be deciding where to apply- which classes to focus on soon.
  14. I'm in the same boat- I can either do an adn, absn, or masters enters program. I have a family though- so adn might be best. (Or wherever I get accepted!)
