Some programs have different nuances, staff that may help or hinder ...So many variables....but the one constant ...You ! When I went to private school, our instructor made us take an IQ test, as part of his curriculum . There was this young African American student who sat next to me, that had a very low score , while mine was slightly above average. But this guy passed the course with ' Honors' , higher than my scores ! What was his secret ?.....he studied harder and longer than anyone else, to make up for any short comings. Success is 10 per cent inspiration, 90 per cent perspiration ! You may or may not pass...but let it be known that it will not be because you held anything back...believe in yourself !

That is why you should have a detailed report sheet, kind of like the ' kardex /rand cards ', we used to use . The EMAR going down does happen ! They are supposed to have a paper back up system, where you would transcribe like the olden days, and also a ' read only ' computer for patient information .

I would rinse with cool water, and apply a topical numbing spray, provided the skin was intact ..cool compresses would lessen the inflammatory response ...IMHO

Socialized medicine ...you should move to the US, we have many nursing jobs, and the nurse unions will give you a stronger voice regarding complaints.

I had my own individual policy through NSO, and there were two instances where I was glad they had my back. One incident involved my sister-in-law, who fell down my stairs, in my home. She had a history of filing lawsuits, so when she broke her ankle, and I provided first aid, I called NSO and reviewed my actions. Another situation occurred when I provided first aid to a motorcycle accident victim. In California, I would not be caught without malpractice insurance.
