I am late to this game but I can't imagine the techs assisting the MD's with patient care. Yes it can be learned to do technical aspects of nursing but it takes education and experience to know the signs of a patient tanking and what to do when it happens. Sounds dangerous.

Not to be too mean but I had breast cancer during nursing school and made every day except one. I wish I had excuses. My teacher didn't even give me leeway when my mid term was two days after my FIRST surgery. I had to take it in order to get full points. I scheduled every treatment around school. Maybe the dismissal is the best thing for you right now. Sounds like some reflection is in order. Good luck to you.

Hi Honeybee2486, May I recommend doing some kind of volunteer or part time job in a hospital or clinic? You certainly could volunteer for a community clinic or hospital. It would help give you the feel of what our world is like. It would also look good on your resume after nursing school. Good luck!

Hi Nurselylyfe92, I am in a similar boat. Don't fret. They have different options for you to do. Just call your loan company (Navient, Salle Mae etc) My payment is up to $633 a month. I called and they helped me. They can defer some forbare some and even make lower payments that you can afford. They want to help. In the mean time like the one person said if you are super stretched maybe get a per diem or work some OT to help yourself feel better. Trust me you're ok. Hope that helps.

I received an email yesterday that stated I was not chosen. I also got a job offer for a home health new grad program so it was a bitter sweet day! Congrats to you all!
