  1. I've heard of sharp doing second interviews in the past but only for Memorial. I know of one person who did a second interview and had other floors included who weren't present in the first interview. They just want to probably make sure sure you're a solid candidate
  2. Here's the link for a San Diego New grad page: NEW GRAD RN - SAN DIEGO, CA Public Group | Facebook Quoting the comment of someone in a post: "You'll be in a group with other people who are also interviewing, maybe 20 or more. First they'll ask you to partner up and discuss reasons why the other person should be hired. Then they may or may not eliminate ppl based on their responses. Then they'll do a jeopardy portion and ask scenerio questions. Depending on your answer they may or may not eliminate people. If you make it this far you will meet with them to have a one on one where you'll be asked more scenerio questions. After that you will either be offered a position on the spot or by the end of they day. They will let you know which. If you're not chosen, you will hear nothing from them at all."
  3. I got the group email! I saw on a FB new grad forum that the group interview is pretty extensive. They do a lot to start cutting people out. And by the end of the day, hopefully get an offer for a position. And this is only for 13 positions
  4. They might have gone through all of the questions that we're in the packet. I noticed for the Chula Vista panel, they were starting to cross out a lot of questions. So I think I was only in the room for about 15-20 min.
  5. Does everyone here already have their license?
  6. I interviewed with Chula Vista 8/1 and I feel that it went well :) I hope lol. It was a lot more relaxed than previous new grad interviews that I've had
  7. It really depends on which hospital you're chosen for. I think for the last cohort, there were offer emails being sent after a week and a half. Interviews are all held in the same building within different rooms. It's a panel interview with multiple hiring managers. Try looking up previous application rounds if you have the time to sit and read through the posts.
  8. From what I've read in the past, if you start on La Jolla's DEU, its an oncology unit. You train for a period of time and then unit managers will hire you onto their specific unit.
  9. I just got an email today, 7/25, to interview for Scripps Chula Vista.
  10. For Memorial, they hired about 3 people per unit for the acute and PCU program. I'm not sure about the other floors. I also know that Chula Vista didn't hire anyone for their rotations. I might be wrong on that, though. I'm. It sure about the other units!
  11. Hi everyone! The nurse residency program applications opened up today for all of Sharp campuses and don't close until next week. I just submitted my application right now. I'm an internal applicant and it's my second time applying so I'm hoping this is the last time I'll have to do this! Just wanted to open up the conversation for other applicants! This time around, I chose Memorial Acute Care and Chula Vista :)
  12. There's another post for the application period that opened in January. https://allnurses.com/first-year-after/sharp-new-grad-1145665.html
