Failed NCLEX at 133 questions.. First attempt
Be careful with using too many resources as well. It depends on the person but I know for me I had tons of resources and that always stressed me out more, id say start with the first 2 and see how you do before moving on to the other sources

Post NCLEX freak out!
Keep busy to keep your mind off it. I did lots of random things after my test anything to avoid sitting and thinking. Bet you did great though!

Failed NCLEX at 133 questions.. First attempt
Don't buy into the if you get a ton of select all your doing well and if you don't you're doing bad. I only got maybe 10 select all. My hardest questions were multiple choice. I felt like that too there were lots of things that I was like how on earth would I know that? But some random things I knew because of uworld. Uworld questions to me were so hard that it helped because you had a broad base of important knowledge and random factoids lol the rationales are just awesome.

Failed NCLEX at 133 questions.. First attempt
UWorld is the bomb .com and cheap! I used hurst some because I needed the content. But after I got my ATT I solely used uworld. The rationales are like reading a book, so informative. For me it helped me a ton! And they layout was practically identical to NCLEX. Passed in 75 questions and I truly struggled so much through nursing school. I would say do uworld. I've seen a ton of people who passed using it! Good luck to you and don't give up! You can do it!!

Was your first job out of school your dream job?
Starting my first job on a medsurg floor at the end of July. This wasn't my "dream job" but I am very happy to have gotten it. I think I got the job I was meant to have thus making it my dream job. The truth is we all went through nursing school thinking we knew what we wanted but I think you don't know until you start working it as a nurse. We had such a small amount of time in each field and pretty unrealistic to what we would actually be doing. I know so many people who got their dream jobs, hated it, and switched to something else. And for your situation it might help you some yes, but just remember there's no guarantees. I think at the end of the day any job is better than no job. [emoji16]

The BON way of checking if you passed the NCLEX?
I heard the opposite that if you pass your GN will still be there. Mine was up until the day of my quick results/RN license being put up. Idk whether or not this is true though. Because the people I know who have taken it also passed.

Hardly any SATA, mostly multiple choice, Did I fail?
Alternate format doesn't necessarily mean harder. I had maybe 10 SATA. And half of them were easy. My multiple choice were way harder. Passed in 75.

Time frame from graduation to NCLEX
Graduated May 13th. Started seriously studying around May 25th ish? Got my ATT June 2nd took and passed NCLEX June 14th. You also have to apply for licensure and register for NCLEX before you can get your ATT, our school gave us a timeline of when to do things, but we were applied and registered before we graduated. My school also recommended to us that we not wait longer than 6 weeks after graduation to test.

UWORLD 46%
Absolutely agree with erickz623 don't focus on your average. What's important is that you understand the information. NCLEX is incredibly weird and although uworld is content based there were a lot of questions I got right because of uworld. And on NCLEX hard questions came in all forms. Some of my hardest ones were multiple choice and were the most random questions ever. I only had like 10 SATA and passed in 75. You can absolutely do it!

First RN job interview help!
I agree with what everyone said! Be yourself. Be prepared but don't sit there and practice interview questions all day and night, you don't want to look reheorificed like a robot. Just be confident and be yourself, show your personality. And for clothes dress to impress but make sure you're comfortable in what you're wearing. I am not a blazer or high heel wearing type of girl so I always just wore a nice shirt with a cardigan over it and dress pants and flats. Look nice but be comfortable!

I bet! Just relax the rest of the day! Do something fun because you're going to be more stressed after the exam than now lol so don't think about it!

NCLEX tomorrow 6/13

Taking NCLEX in less then 24hrs...
You're welcome! I only ended up doing like 600 questions from uworld because I took a long time to go through rationales. But out of that it was about 55% with the last 3 or 4 tests being around 60%. I ended up with 75 and just felt unsure after, not like I did horrible, but not great. I just tried to keep busy the past 2 days. Yes it did take the full 48 hours for me. But depending on your state too sometimes your license will be posted before then because they may update like Tuesday Thursday or something.

NCLEX tomorrow 6/13
I don't think the number of select all matters. I only had like 10 select all if even that many, some hard, some not and I passed. I'm the slowest test taker ever and took like 3 hours for 75 questions hahaha thank God I didn't have more than 75. But I bet you did pass. Fast test taker or not you had to know your stuff to do 75 questions in 15 minutes lol I bet you did great!! [emoji5]ï¸

Taking NCLEX in less then 24hrs...
Lots of prayers for you! Uworld really helped me on mine, found out I passed today. The layout of uworld color of the screen and everything looks the same as NCLEX so it's nice that its familiar. Don't sit there and count how many SATA or alternate format questions you have lol and don't try to figure out if your questions are getting harder or easier. You will drive yourself crazy lol Alternate format doesn't automatically mean harder. My multiple choice questions were the hardest. Had maybe 10 SATA and some were hard, some easy. Also if your state has quick results I would just wait the 48 hours. Don't do PVT and drive yourself crazy lol just keep busy! It was awesome to wake up to the "PASS" on my quick results. Good luck to you!! Know that you know a lot and what you don't know you can probably figure out! [emoji5]ï¸

Taking NCLEX-RN in 2 days (used Kaplan)
I didn't do Kaplan so I can't speak to that but I just wanted to say good luck! To both of y'all! Relax and know that you know more than you think you do. And that you're not going to know everything on the test! Y'all will do great [emoji5]ï¸

Difficulty Levels of NCLEX
^^^ That was a really good explanation.

Although Women Dominate the Nursing Profession, Do Men Make More Money?
The whole gender wage gap thing in general irritates me. There's no way of knowing anything in any career field unless you actually have two people who start at the exact same time, work the same hours, same PTO, same FMLA, same OT, etc. Then there's experience, performance raises, negotiating salaries. And why do we all care so much about what other people make? Work hard, do your job, get what you deserve. Realistically not everybody deserves to make the same amount so I don't understand why this is a continuous issue. I personally don't care what my male counterparts make, that has nothing to do with me.

NCLEX, a perfect world?
I haven't taken NCLEX yet, but I've been told that before too. I think it means when you're answering a question you only have that patient on the screen or patient(s) if it's like who do you see first. So in other words if it asks you something don't think well I couldn't do this answer choice because realistically I have other patients etc. etc. And then with meds like you have an order for everything so don't think well I have to have an order for this med. Basically I think it means don't read into the question or think about real life hospital problems you've encountered, read the questions and answers for what they are truly asking. And from most questions I've practiced usually the start an IV/draw up labs are more of a what would you do "first" type of thing.

June NCLEX takers
Idk if this helpful or not, but every single person I know who passed thought that they failed. I've never heard anyone come out saying they knew they passed lol but praying for you that you passed!!!
