  5. 5 Things I know for sure when it comes to Nursing. 1.Book knowledge is one thing & using it in the real world is another. 2. Have your ducks in a row when you call the doctor... you never know if it will be primarily or on call doc but either way know dx & hx .......3. Never call a doctor & walk away, they won't appreciate a 2nd page be a use u got loss. 4. We are not the Flintstones , you go home when you finish you shift work not when the 7:15 whistle blows, we are working with people,not cars or food ect.5. If you just open your heart & mind when caring for patients beautiful things happen that last a lifetime.....You got to Love Nursing to be a great Nurse.......
  6. What? No Outpatients , u mean I can spend the last hrs & half on my I patients closing charts & giving them care so I can start report on time & not stay late...... God is Good & knows I am too tired today.....

  10. This lady is right. 100% discrimination & perferental treatment.. The Secrtaarty should not be allowed to assign. The clinical Supv. should & she seem just as twisted. Keep good records of dates & names & fo tl her manager & go up chain of command. They are too wrong.
  11. I feel this nurse... Yes I feel the same as she after nursing just over 28 yrs...
  12. CNA on the other end stating she cannot get vital signs on the patient because they took a turn for the worse...
  13. they have to leave now because no doctor has come & they got something to take care of now. Bring my AMA papers Now..it's shift change.

  15. I have done 20 yrs floor but enjoy outpatient better han bedside @ this point. U really called floor nursing & everything connected to it out. Thank You. It It takes sheer God given strength & lots of prayers throughout the day. I am not bitter but needed a break & anywork out patient, be it Cemo. Pre-op or post ou or surgicare any outpt clinic (not E.C. ) to rejuvenate you.
