  1. My instructors were amazing and I honestly feel like I am a better nurse because of them
  2. Thay was in response to the tech cave comment.
  3. I agree! Our system sends our phones things like v tac or asystole, we have to follow up by calling the techs. I called regarding a message saying tachycardia 178 and they said the patient was only 89. I was so excited we finally got it down so I said "really, yay!!!" I was lectured after that.....
  4. All we can put is "allergy" to XYZ and reaction, I inform my patients that if the reward outweighs the risk the dr may order it (for the drugs that have side effects). I had someone in pain freak out on me because they were in pain and wanted the ordered Lortab but I needed to call the dr. first because they insisted they were allergic APAP.
  5. I was threatened by someone who had "many weapons" at his disposal. I reported it to the proper powers and they persued it until they found out he was friends with the chief of police, than all of a sudden it was a "joke". I sought alternative employment after that!
