Congratulations! I have an interview with Bayview next week. I've also been looking at housing options all over, mostly craigslist room shares. What was the interview like?

I definitely feel overwhelmed at times with "real world" versus what I learned in school. Especially because different nurses will have different opinions as to what matters and what doesn't. I'm not sure what the solution is to this except that, if nurses in the "real world" are not following standards of practice, than we as a profession need to adjust the standards to reflect the reality of practice, or adjust our practice to reflect patient safety and known evidence. I'm sure that is wishful thinking, but it at least feels good to say it.

Thank you @Nurse Beth for providing such quality advice. I've checked this Advice post as well as many others that you have shared with us. They are very helpful! I am a person who grows into confidence after I've known someone for a short while or if I am sure there is no chance of being judged. Once I am in a formal environment, however, I become very nervous and often do and say things that cause me to feel cringe-worthy regret afterwards. Just as you've mentioned, the key is preparation and practice. I love that you've provided a list of actionable steps which will allow me to walk in feeling more self-assured knowing that I can answer the majority of questions with confidence.

I had a professor who had to retract an acceptance, even after signing a contract. What she did was personally hand over a later explaining the situation, thanking them profusely, and apologizing. While you cannot control their response, you can certainly maintain professional behavior on your end and do your best to mitigate a negative response.

I did a quick search and found i quizlet: https://quizlet.com/40949875/nurs-ch-3-nclex-flash-cards/ Throughout nursing school, I would pick a topic, and google "topic nclex style questions" and typically quizlets or similar materials would pop up. For the history chapter, I would read it completely and then try to focus on information that is emphasized in the book... especially topics which are repeated or have longer explanations.
