How fast can you ACTUALLY do RN-BSN
I started March 1st too! But for RN-BSN and I didn't start prior to March 1st. I just submitted Task 3 in Biochem. I also finally received my webcam today so I was able to take (and pass!) my first class -- care of the older adult! 3 CU's down, 31 to go! I've stayed up until past 4am night/morning since the 1st, working on biochem. It's kind of addicting. I just want to finish everything ASAP! I'm getting sleep deprived along the way though.

WGU Transcript Evaluation
Thank you, TheCommuter! I was hoping to hear something along those lines about those two classes! I am anxious and motivated to start. I should be starting March 1st. Did you work full-time while in school? Are you overall happy with WGU's RN to BSN program?

RN to BSN @ WGU
Just got my transcripts evaluated at WGU. Mine looks exactly like yours -- 34 CU's to complete BSN (6 of them for statistics and biochem.) 10 months, eh? Interesting. I'm so motivated right now, I hope I can complete it within the year! I just can't wait to get statistics and biochem over with -- these 2 classes are the ones I am fearing the most! Any advice for me? Out of curiosity... did you work full time while going to school? Thanks!

WGU Transcript Evaluation
Hi Nurse Ashley! I see you have an "BSN" after your name now! Congrats! Just following up from this 1.5 year old post -- how long did it take for you to finish your BSN through WGU? I just got my transcript evaluation back today. I have 34 credits remaining (6 of them being statistics and biochem -- I'm pretty nervous about taking both of these!) Any advice? :)

I completed my BSN today. Feel free to ask any questions
Congrats!! So what I have gathered so far about the WGU rn-bsn program 1) No group projects. 2) A few papers. 3) Some Proctored exams and some taken in the comfort of your home. Is this correct? Would you say that grades in most classes are based on exams then? If so, how are the exams? Multiple choice? Very difficult? Are any "open book"? If you fail, is there a possiblity to retake? I'm so scared to pursue my RN-BSN again -- the last program I attempted were all discussion boards/group projects. I want to get a feel how the classes at WGU are. One more thing. You mentioned your second term was prorated. Is this only because to fulfill your degree, there was less than 7 credits? Or if you take less than 12 credits in any given term, they will prorate it rather than charge you the flat fee? I have so many questions! This will do for now, I think. THANK YOU!! And congrats again!!

Starting to hate nursing...and only doing it for 3 months!!
I am exactly in the same boat as you are but my year commitment is up 4/28. I dread every second thinking of going to work... and I am always thinking about it every second even when I am off. I'm so depressed. I only came to the realization maybe 2 months ago that critical care nursing is probably not for me. The only way I got through this year was telling myself that I am a new nurse... these or normal feelings... but now that almost a year has gone by, I feel like I am in a worse position than when I started. I completely lack any sort of confidence in myself. CCU is just too stressful. I like stress, but not this kind of stress. I am no longer the happy, bubbly person that I used to be. I used to love nursing when I was an LPN in an ambulatory setting... now I am just sad and confused. I am glad you found your niche is case management. I am just trying to find mine. I am scared of experiencing this all over again, but on the other hand, I look forward to finding a job that I could possibly love. I don't know where to even start.

Any Michigan Excelsior nursing students and graduates
I wrote an email to the Michigan State Board of Nursing today asking if they approved Excelsior. They wrote back within a couple hours with a "yes"... soooo... it sounds good! Just wanted to give you another verification! :)

I got NCLEX test results today!!
I have no clue how it works...! That's why I was crying after it shut off after 99 - I thought I had failed since my other friends either went just until 85 or all the way to 205 - and passed! On the other hand, my friend failed and it shut off on her after 100... so I am quite confused myself in the grading system for the NCLEX...

I got NCLEX test results today!!
Hi! That sounds like what happened to me - slightly different. It was March 4, 2005. After taking the exam, it shut off after 99 questions. I went home. Cried a little bit on the phone while talking to my mom. I was so depressed. I didn't feel good about it. Checked the Iindiana department of health regulation website a couple hours later... just for the heck of it. It had my name. it said ACTIVE SINCE MARCH 4, 2005 on it and then had my license number!!!!!!!!!!! I will never forget that feeling - its so funny to talk about it with your nursing school classmates cause we always get hysterical!! =) Good luck to you, and God Bless!
