TCU Jan 2019/SRNA advice in general
Hey there, so when I interviewed the format was as follows. 1. Sign in with name tag and picture 2. Waiting room with current first year students who are there to sell the program and make you feel welcome. 3. Meet with first group of interviewers. It will be you on one side of the table across from the 4 interviewers. Do not expect them to highlight your achievements. They’ll ask you why you want to be a CRNA, how you have prepared, and will highlight any negative aspects of your application. Have strong answers to these questions and defend yourself well. 4. Back to waiting room 5. Second interview with administration. This interview was more relaxed. Took place at a round table. Will again ask why you want to be a CRNA, any difficult nursing scenarios, and highlight some of the negative or weaker portions of your application. 6. Back to waiting room, rank clinical sites, get an umbrella, quick tour of the facility, and then you’re done. If you show up early be prepared to interview as soon as you walk in, they will not wait until your scheduled interview time. stay calm and confident at all times.

I think it was just my nerves more than anything to be honest. Clinical questions were kept to a minimum. Just stay calm and confident.

Do we need to bring copies of anything to the interview? Was thinking of bringing a folder with my Resume and questions I'd like to ask.

Those of you interviewing Aug 30th what time are you slotted for?

I would retake your GRE and apply next year. Per the website they want a gre >302. What is your years of ICU experience? Don't sweat it man, just reapply and show them this is what you want to do. I recommend magoosh for a study tool. Get another year of ICU experience, bump up that GRE, and try again. No shame in that game.

Hey everybody, stumbled upon the thread from a google search. Current stats GPA 3.78 3.5 years experience ICU (Trauma/CVICU/Gen) GRE 303 - 150 V 153 Q 4.5 WRITING ACLS/PALS/BLS CCRN in 2 Weeks BSN - Currently in last semester. This is my only concern but according to FAQ/Admissions office this is okay. Waiting on LOR from Anesthesiologist, Manager, Coworker. Super nervous about applying, hope we all get accepted!

How fast can you ACTUALLY do RN-BSN
Sounds like I am too late to the party. Well looks like CRNA school will have to wait another year. More experience I guess!

How fast can you ACTUALLY do RN-BSN
I have seen a lot of confusion and conflict regarding WGU's RN-BSN. Some say you can do it in 4-6 months; Others say the curriculum changed and now that is impossible. What is the real answer here? I realize its a "go at your own pace" environment and for this arguments sake the pace will be at "as fast as possible". If I could knock out my BSN by October that would be amazing. Let me know fellow Nurses!
