UT Tyler PMHNP Fall 2021
Hello all, I just got accepted into UT Tyler’s PMHNP for fall 2021 and I am looking for other potential classmates to start a group and/or thread for helpful advice and guidance in the future. We are in this together. ?

Hello. I also applied for fall 2021, what program did you apply for?

BSHP 2016
I have a friend who just allowed for the lvn-RN program at baptist, those who got in, would you say it was competitive?

Baptist School of Health Professions (Fall 2015)
Everything except my HS diploma, but they just want that when I turn into acceptance package. I'm sure you'll get in with your stats! Good luck. :)

Anyone hear anything back? I realized I didn't send my high school transcripts for the priority deadline! oh well. I also left a previous comment asking about applying to the LVN program, can we apply to both LVN and RN?

Thanks, I already knew that, which is why they have the minimum scores. I'm sure you're score is good enough!

It's a 58.7 so 59....still I wonder what the average is. Ugh, can't believe they won't tell us. Either way, I'm already rescheduled. Honestly, your teas score seems competitive. I know it's a fee weeks from now, but I'll update with my new score ASAP.

Those stats seem decent. Unfortunately I have 2 Bs and 1 A. I have completed all my BSN prerequisites and have a cumulative of a 3.7 and math/science of 3.8, the only Bs I have are anatomy and physiology. I'm hoping to get in the 80s this next go around, we shall a see! I also applied to UTHSCSA but I doubt I'll get in with that teas score.

I also emailed Rebecca and she said the same: They are looking for scores that exceed the minimum requirement. With that said, I got an overall of 71, but I'm afraid that's not good enough. Technically I have exceed the recommend amount, but I doubt it's good enough. I'm very surprised they can't give an average, or seems like that's an important factor to know. As far as the difference in deadlines, not sure of one is favored over the other... Good question. if you don't mind, what was your score? I've read in other threads that a 75+ will get you in. Personally, I know someone who got in with a 75

Thanks. Im curious, how did you get a 3.5...they only look at A&P and Micro. So it's impossible to get that with those classes only. My overall GPA is a 3.7 but for baptist it's a 3.33, my only Bs are Anatomy and Physiology. I had an incredibly hard teacher, there was only 2 As overall, and they happened to go to previous med-students. I wish BSHP looked at other prerequisites too. Thanks for responding, I just signed up for a retake. And I feel confident I'll do better the next go around. :)

@badgertastic i used the ATI TEAS manual. I actually found the practice test to be much easier. I read the book twice and bought a supplemental book for additional practice. On every practice test I scored in the 90s with at least 10 minutes to spare in each section. I will say that I was not prepared for paper and pencil. While studying, I relied heavily on my iphones stopwatch, which made rushing through less of a concern, but while testing, I constantly sound myself looking back at the clock (only one clock in the room) which was a distraction. I didn't bring a watch because I figured 1) the computer had one, 2) the computer usually has an integrated stopwatch. So next time, I'll definitely bring my own stopwatch watch! Any helpful tips or suggestions on improving would be greatly appreciated.

@marcelas28 i noticed you were on a post for UTHSCSA fall 2015, you mentioned you teas score was 70. I am applying for the RN program at baptist and got a 70.1 on the teas and I'm worried that may not be good enough. Did you end up taking it again, or what was your GPA and teas score for baptist? Thanks

Baptist School of Health Professions (Spring 2015)
Just applied for fall 2015, I've already read the threads regrading teas scores, I was wondering if anyone can share their scores. I took it and got a 71, so I plan on retaking it. Just wondering what the cutoff looks like. One person said 77 another said 74, obviously the higher the better. Just trying to figure out a general ballpark. Thanks

I also applied to the program for fall 2015. I took the TEAS test this past Saturday, May 9, and got an overall score of 71. I was surprised to score that low because I did exceptionally well on my practice test. My scores are as followed: Reading: 81 Math: 73 Science 68 Writing: 63 I unfortunately ran our of time on the reading. As for science, I studied the ATI book and got 90's on both test. I did notice that there were a few questions on science I didn't know. As for my writing, easy things I can improve on. My concern is this: I took it on may 9th and if I have to wait 30 days I won't be able to take it till June 12, which is so close to the deadline. The only place available is Incarnate Word, do they offer a computer test, so I can get my scores relatively fast? Also, when I submitted my application, I got the confirmation but never heard from an advisor, should I be concerned?
