  1. Any tips!?
  2. They do seem long, but this is the first class that I feel like my nursing assessment skills will be really applied!! :) I think it will be more challenging that writing papers. ...and I may hate it! Haha!!
  3. Congrats!! I am jealous! But...only 3 more classes for me! I have patho next and am oddly excited as it has medical information in it!! :)
  4. I'd love to know this as well!! I'm only 3 classes and 1 week away from being done. I'd love to know great capstone project instructors!
  5. I did it last night...It took me about 45 minutes. I would consider myself quite slow on anything I have to read, comprehend, and write about...now, math I'd do all day at a steady pace! I may be in the wrong career field...ha! This class is just not for me and I will be so happy for it to end...actually, I'll be SUPER excited when I'm done altogether in May!!! :)
  6. Ok...I maybe promise this will be my complaint about this Spirituality class!! Personhood chart...worth 10 points?!?! Pretty sure I won't be doing that!! Definitely not worth my time. Also...I hate when GCU gives us assignments that aren't in our reading! Really?? I'd be happy to do it all if it was in the textbooks given...but no! Grrrrrrr.......
  7. It is doable! I work full-time Mon-Fri 0730-1630. I have one weekend a month at the beginning when I started, but then I quit the weekend gig! When I started I had a 4 year old and a 22 month old...plus, my 4 y/o has special needs and needs a lot more time and energy than I could have ever imagined. I have them on a strict routine and my husband helps out on Saturdays so I can do all of my assignments. It is a complete change of what I used to do each night, but I will be so happy in May when I am finally done! I really believe that if you worked 3- 12 hr shifts, this would be an easier way to complete the work for this school. I have a 3.96 right now (bc of my Ethics grade, my professor was unpredictable and my least favorite so far). I would like to ease up a little and not care if I received a B, but I don't know if I can! I am SUPER excited that once I have finished my Spirituality class (I'm at the end of week 2)...I will only have 4 classes left! :)
  8. I'm in it now! It is ridiculous honestly...1000 word papers or 20 points?! The paper doesn't seem to be worth my time! I am having a hard time covering all the areas in the rubric with only 1000 words and he put in the announcements that if it is 100 words over the requirement he will send it back for us to edit! :-/ 5 weeks...5 weeks...5 weeks!! Well, 4 weeks now!! :)
  9. Yikes!! I started Spirituality this week and, honestly, I already do not enjoy it at all! I will try my best in it though!
  10. I also found stats to be easy, but I do come from a math background and I have tutored students in math since middle school. On the other hand...I despise English and writing papers is not fun for me at all! I've been told most MSN programs are papers as well, so I probably will not go on after this unfortunately. Thanks for the tip for searching within all of the books! I will try this in my next class. :)
  11. It really isn't that bad, I am just not liking my instructor. I appreciate her feedback, but she grades most work as unsatisfactory no matter what and I truly believe it is because she doesn't believe in the same things as I do. I have a 4.0 GPA and this class (my 6-7th class) will definitely not be an A. I was really upset, but tomorrow is the last day of the class and I am over it...kind of lol!
  12. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! I cannot wait to get out of this Ethics class! This is by far the worst I have gone through and I have until next Sunday to go. I literally want to cry every time I turn in a paper.
  13. Also, how possible is it to overlap ethics and spirituality for two weeks?!! Would I be way overworking myself? Or, if possible, just overlapping one week? We plan on going home for over two weeks for the holidays and I do NOT want to have to do homework while I am there. I only get to see my family for 8 days out of the 2 weeks and I want to enjoy my time with them...as it only happens maybe once a year.
  14. Would anyone be willing to message me this list possibly?! I am still a ways away, but would like it anyway! I am starting Intro to Research on Monday and nervous as I've heard it is a horrible class! Any particular instructors to avoid for this class?!
  15. Congratulations!! I cannot wait until I can say I am done!! :) I still have 7.5 classes left though! :-/
  16. Thanks! I am not afraid of math classes and I have taken Statistics before for my ASN degree...honestly, I'm not sure why I have to take it again and I received an A in it before. I just figured it wasn't geared towards healthcare before! I will just do it right away. Thank you again for your input! :)
  17. Ok everyone! Anyone that has completed Statistics...was is super time heavy? I have a trip coming up for work and do not know if I should put it off...problem is I have another trip coming up as well about 4 weeks later. I'm at a loss of what to do right now! :-/
  18. I'm on week 5 tomorrow in this class! The professor has been great and the class is actually the best one I've been in so far!! I am scared about this week as well bc I am super busy with other stuff, but I know that it'll be doable! Good luck! :)
  19. Can anybody give me instructor names (in a private message) that I do NOT want for Stats?? I will be super busy when I am in that class and wondering if I should even take a two week break, but I was hoping to get a great instructor! :)
  20. Agree!! Least favorite class so far. :-/
  21. I would hate this. Many of the students I went to school with in my ADN program received A's in class, but were HORRIBLE in clinicals. I was the exact opposite. I couldn't take a test to save my life, but get me in on a procedure and I was going at it perfectly. I am a hands-on person; definitely not a read and write learner!
  22. One of my patients told me that when he got out he was going to torture me to death, cut out my female parts, clean them up, and then send them in the mail to my parents. Yeah...
  23. I am also in this class right now, I picked My Sister's Keeper. It's a real tear jerker!!
  24. All I can say is...I really wish we had no student loan debt!! Between my husband and myself we pay more than $1k per month in student loans! :-( I say no debt...as long as the program is accredited!
