  1. I am in the same shoes as you. Don't have any experience in pediatrics. I took operating room and respiratory care along wIth nursing.
  2. So did you hit the jackpot NursesRmofun?:) Sounds like it.
  3. Unemployment office and this thread can be a good resource for jobs. Someone may know something and share it with you.
  4. This is to you and anyone looking for a job. If you have a part time job. Great. Maybe you can find something to supplement your current job and or find a better one. What the heck give it a try. I am doing the same. You never know you may hit the jackpot:).
  5. Go to your Local unemployment office and see when the next job fair is being held. You pay taxes. Make these people work for you.
  6. I got a part time with a health care agency. The only fish that did bite. Found them at a job fair
  7. Happy Easter to all
  8. Hopefully everything worked out for you
  9. That's funny Good luck on your fasting. I know that's not easy.
  10. There are many learning styles. My favorite was to tape my classes. When I got home, I would play the tapes back along with my notes from school. This way I added anything to my notes that I missed in class. I then just listened to the tapes over and over again. I cover a section and tried to understand what was happening. The main thing was repetition, repetition and repetition. Your own hand written flashcards are also a big help. Whenever I had to wait anywhere like in line or doctors office or at a car dealer, this is where I took my flashcard and read them. You'd be surprised what you will learn. Study groups are also good. And if you have a good instructor-they will give you handouts with most of the pertinent information on them. Don't lose hope. Do you have your notes from school when you took anatomy and physiology? Go over those notes if you still have them. Since you know already that you have forgotten them, use this time to relearn everything. Don't stress yourself over it but take small chunks of information and relearn it.
  11. Okay good. Sorry to hear about your dad but congrats on your achievement.
  12. My kids celebrate my victories and say "shouldn't you be studying" (even my 3 yr old) if they see me without a book. That is cute but they see mom is doing it- most likely they will work hard too. The 3yr old will have a great example.:)
  13. I had a classmate who missed a quiz because her mother passed away and she refused to let her take it/make it up. Now that is cold for the teacher not to let a student make up a quiz/test. The student is enough grief and had alot of issues to take care of. How is she going to concentrate on exam/quiz? Is thus instructor without feeling?
  14. Cheers!! I would have chosen the crown Royal myself:yes:.

  16. And did you have a great day? I hope so :)
  17. Absolutely. You have to have some healthy form of release or else you will be in the nut house. We will all die eventually but you have to live alittle too. Some things have to be done in moderation but one can not always be so serious. I believe that a is a Type A personality who end up up with a heart attack or stroke or maybe even cancer. Cut loose so you have the energy and stamina to make it through the next rough shift you are about to face. Stop killing all the fun in this life.
  18. Ooh the wine sounds good!!:)
  19. So that's what did it lol the 3 musketeers:laugh:
  20. That is a shame and they have nerve to talk about patient safety?
  21. After reading these threads, I could certainly use them(as a drink of course)
  22. Unfortunately parents don't realize what they are doing
