applying for NP license in CA
Hi Juan (or anyone else in a similar boat), I know this thread is old but there is still little guidance. Im also in CA with my CA RN license, I did out of state NP school that is approved under our BON. So do I apply under method 1? Or what method should I apply for while awaiting to take my board certification exam?… I have a job offer but they would like me to start right away. Any guidance is appreciated. Thanks in Advance!

FNP Graduate from Chamberlain College of Nursing Dec 2015
Hi, I’m looking into Chamberlain’s FNP program. I’m not sure if any of you answered this question but I didn’t see it. Anyway, I’m wondering aside from all the case studies is there a lot of papers and exams on top of that for each class? thanks in advance!

Where do you work as an NP?
Hi sauce, I know this is from a few years ago but was wondering if you are or were an FNP doing the fast track in the ED? I have some ED experience and I’m about to start an FNP program but going back to working in an ED is something I’ve considered. thanks in advance!

Chamberlain FNP Reviews and experiences
Aaaw OK perfect! Thank you for answering my questions it definitely gave me a better perspective And has been a huge help! and I too now believe the 16 weeks won’t be bad considering the amount of work that we have to cover. Being ready for the boards is definitely a plus! Do they provide study guides for the exams and quizzes? I have decided to go to UC after all, will start in August! I will try to look for other students to join the FB groups as you have suggested thank you! I am also not huge on Peds but I think for me FNP is the better way to go career and job wise as we move around a lot. you truly have been a lot of help. Congratulations on making it this far! I hope all of your clinicals workout for you ? Please keep us posted on your journey!

Chamberlain FNP Reviews and experiences
Hi AjboujieRN, I'm currently debating whether to do chamberlain or cincinnati. I have been accepted to UC for this fall. Are you happy with your change and are you doing FNP? I did my BSN at chamberlain and had no problem with my courses it worked well with my job and family. However, I know MSN FNP tracks will be more difficult so I want to make sure I'm making the right decision if I go to UC vs Chamberlain. Can you tell me if you like it and how the classes are formatted? a lot of papers to write, many quizzes/exams? was the switch from 8 wk courses to 16 wks worth it? Have your instructors been helpful? and also are there any mandatory sign in times or video conferencing/discussions? Any advice, suggestions, tips are greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!!

University of Cincinnati FNP Fall 2018
Thank you so much for replying! I'm glad you're still enjoying it that gives me some reassurance. I want to make sure I'm making a right decision going there. How long are the classes? someone mentioned they are actually about 10 weeks long and not the full 16 weeks? that confused me haha and are they really just a bunch of case studies? I'm so glad I won't have to write a paper every other week. I cannot imagine the struggle you guys face with covid going on. I hope it gets better soon. Do you have any tips I can use to better prepare before starting? or study tips? Again thank you so much for replying.

University of Cincinnati FNP Fall 2018
Hi guys, I just got accepted to the FNP cohort for this upcoming fall. Any updates on the program? How are you all liking it? I have several questions if anyone can answer any of them I would greatly appreciate it! how are the classes formatted? Are there a lot of exams or paper writing and group work. How do they teach and grade assessments since there are no campus visits? Is faculty supportive? Are there any capstone projects. Do they help with any clinical placement. Sorry those are a lot of questions. I just want to make sure it will work out with my family and work to better prepare. Thanks a bunch!

University of Cincinnati FNP spring 2019
Hi guys, I was just accepted to the fall 2020 FNP program. I'm excited. Can some of you since you've been in about a year now, tell me if you're still liking it? also how are the classes set up? is it a case study due weds and replies by end of week w/quizzess or is it just case studies and papers? which classes did you find the most challenging? is there enough support, articles provided, etc? trying to get a feel for what to expect to better prepare and balance with my full time job and family. Any feedback is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Stanbridge University ADN program
Yea that's a tough decision, one is an associates and the other a bachelors. I guess you have to look at the overall money and for me the class schedule being I heard west coast makes your schedule every term. And sometimes you have to come in in the morning and back the same night. They couldn't give me an idea of what their schedule looks like í ½í¸• it's also further for me but only you know what's best for you. I was finally able to get an interview appointment for tomorrow with Stanbridge I hope I do good. I'm nervous already but excitedí ½í¹Š I hope I get in, class starts in less than a month! I'm still waiting for them to tell me if I got credit for all the pre reqs that I have its been 3 weeks í ½í¸• did that take long for you as well?
