It is much more grade based now. The majority of the points come from your science GPA, and the TEAS score. And then everyone with the minimum points is entered into the lottery. I'm in the current class and with a 3.75 GPA and an 84% on my TEAS, I d...

With your experience, you shouldn't have much of a problem getting a job in this area. It might take some time, but start applying as soon as you can because the hospitals hire in waves from what I understand. Kaiser pays the most, but all the hospi...

Hey Everyone! I am a current Sierra College ADN student with Todd. Good luck to everyone applying, it really is an AMAZING program. If you have any questions, let me know!
They allow you to take the HESI twice. If your score isn't high enough the first time, they will have you take it again. For me I found out about 2-4weeks after I took it the first time. The HESI is usually the last piece of your application to subm...
Chamberlain weighs each section of the HESI differently, so overall you score a 91, but when they weigh certain sections higher than it will adjust your score depending on how well you did.
Hey Lorx, I took all of my pre requisites at Sierra. The classes I took that transferred over were English 1a, 1c, Math D, Math 13, Comm 3, Bio 4, 5, 6, Chem 2A, Nutrition 10 (Allowed me to test out of one nutrition course they require), Human D...
Hello, I thought I would start a thread for those applying for Sac State's BSN program from Fall 2017 since applications will be here before we know it. Curious to see the GPA's and TEAS scores for that application period.
You do still have to take the HESI, but the sections you haven't completed don't count against you. My friend just started May 1st and she had not completed her sciences yet. I highly recommend taking as many classes as you can at a JC to cut down t...

Hey hawaiilala, we have a group on Facebook called Sierra College ADN Class of 2019. Add it to connect with some of us before the program starts! Look into Lincoln, Roseville, Possibly Citrus Heights closer to a freeway, you could also look into Aub...
I believe they adjust the scoring to make certain sections hold more weight. So if you scored lower in certain sections that Chamberlain weighs more heavily it will drop your adjusted grade.

Unfortunately, they said they send out all acceptance letters and alternates at the same time. Sierra has always sent out acceptances early and around the end of April even though they say it could take four weeks. I have heard that next year they ...
