Took my Nclex yesterday
hi scrub smurf...i did mine 4hr, 12hr, 24hr, 48hr, and if im not mistaken i also did the pvt, thursday the same week of my test (i took the test mon), and it still gave me the good pop up. I never read that people fail after they receive good pop up (maybe i missed that post). But i heard some people got the bad pop up, had to pay, and found out later on that they actually pass. And the money ($200) it's non-refundable. But i never said the PVT is fool-proof...because it's only a trick. I only said that the PVT works for me. I read that u r not suppose do the pvt right after the test, but i dunno. And that's why i checked mine 4hr post test. :)

Passed NCLEX PN 1st time with 85 questions. California, 2016
thank u for answering my questions :) wow that's a long time...2 mos :) were u able to work as an LVN before your card arrived? My DON won't allowed me to shadow the LVN while I'm waiting for my card. Mind you I'm applying at my workplace, I'm a CNA here for 4 years. I applied for my initial license on aug 24.

Passed NCLEX PN 1st time with 85 questions. California, 2016
I have a question for OP, how long after you paid $150 for the initial license u received your physical license card and how long did you see your name on breeze website after you paid the $150? Because I have a friend who paid the $150 via breeze website on Jul 28 and she still cant find her name on breeze website (per Aug 29). Thank you

New CNA
i just wanted to add to all these great advice... document, document, document...it is important to protect yourself, esp when you see new condition e.g. new redness on the skin or new bruises...report to your charge nurse or LVNs and make sure you document it, so u wont be blame if the redness becomes bed sore...if residents refuse care due to their condition e.g. alzheimer pt. or combative pt. you also have to report to your charge nurse and document it...LVNs are your best friend...and teamwork..help each other and you would be okay :) just do unto them as you want others do unto you :) good luck :)

CA State CNA Skills
What do you mean by CA state board way? I think you have to combine the skills videos and the skills that you read from the small blue book that you got from your cna program, the one that have all the steps for skills test.i found this website School of Nursing: Skills Videos - Santa Barbara City College, i hope you find it helpful.

Los Angeles, California CNAs
I think it's fairly easy to find a job as a cna in california. California is almost like Florida, which most of time have warm weather, this condition made senior/ elderly reside/ retire here. I think you'll find a lot of nursing home and alike, esp in the desert area, i.e. palm spring, inland empire. You can also get yourself certified for hha (home health aide) that way you can cast a wider net into hospice, agency, or home health provider. Also dont be too picky for your first job, apply anywhere, just to get the ball rolling :) good luck to you
