  1. Hi, my name is Emily and I just recently got certified as a CNA. My second day of my first job is tomorrow, and we're still on orientation so I was wondering if anyone out there could give me any advice. I'm nervous about working by myself with 9-15 patients or more. How do you handle that many people by yourself? i'll be working 2nd shift, from 3-11 .. what do you usually do throughout the day to stay organized and make sure every patient gets taken care of and fed and everything else? thanks so much.
  2. I worked hard to be a CNA. I spent months studying and practicing in blood sweat and tears. I became this from nothing. So that being said, i don't pay mind nor do i care what others have to say about me or my field of work. There's always going to be people who think they are better than you, who think they're above you. But as long as you know that being a nurse aide is about, whether its helping people, taking care of patients, or whatever your perspective is on it, just don't give in to what they have to say. i am 19 years old and being a CNA is my first job, ever, so when people talk down on me they look stupid because kids these days are selling drugs are other illegal things to make an income but i worked hard for what i have.
  3. You're right, everyone learns differently. But don't let that discourage you or bring you down.. you CAN do this and you will be a wonderful CNA. I can tell that you have the will power and the want to do this, and as long as you want it.. it will happen. Just stay calm, don't panic. Eat something before the test, and just go for it. We all learn differently, and that's okay (: good luck
