I was wondering, does anyone have an easier way of learning the bones and cartilages in the skull, it's killin me. So much to remember

We are on Chapter 3 in Marieb, The Cell, I hate it, it is soooooo boring. I took a quiz tonight and totally blew it, I didn't have time to study for it because me and my husband argued all weekend than he took off to a superbowl party and left me with his mother and the kids I had NO piece and quit, and if he don't start helping me I don't know what I'm going to do. I'm so mad at myself because so far my grades are good Quiz 1-----100 Test 1-----100 Test 2-----83 Quiz 2----? Test 3----Monday Anything to do for self centered, smartass husbands that does nothing except work, sleep during the week and drink and watch ball games on the weekends?

Confusion already!!:uhoh21: I can get some of the anatomical regions, but i'm getting so confused when questions some questions are asked like.... the hypogastric region is______ to the inguinal region. Does anyone have any recommendations to help with this. I know superior is toward the cephalic(head) and inferior is toward the feet.

Well I had my first class monday and my lab last, night, I will have to say I LOVE IT. My teacher is GREAT, she's funny and teaches us in a fun way. She said that she's never been one to be able to memorize things, so she doesn't teach that way. We have our first quiz next wed, and a test on the following monday on chapter 1. We will have a test after each chapter (I think that's what she said) we're only covering the first 12 chapters this semester and she said we will have many, many quizes when we get to the bones. All and all I think I'm going to like this class, It's going to be hard, but i just don't feel soooooooo stressed out which is GREAT:wink2:

:uhoh21: Well I start A&P I tomorrow night and I'm excited and a bit nervous. We are using Marieb's 6th edition textbook and Marieb's 7th edition lab book. I also bought Anatomy and Physiology Cliffnotes book, and Survival Guide For Anatomy And Physiology: Tios, Techniques And Shortcuts" by Kevin T. Patton, Anatomy Coloring book from Kaplan, and Taber's Cyclopedic Medical Dictionary. I hope these things help me. After looking through my books,and starting to read the first few chapters, I didn't realize that there was soooooooooo much stuff to learn. Wish me LUCK and pray because i'm going to need ALL i can get. I'll be back here after class.

This is so funny because i just got done talking to my mom about my house and chewing butts out this morning over the house, everyone thinks because i'm off work right now i should be their maid but my husband thinks this all the time. I feel like if the dishes are washed the house looks pretty decent. I HAVE to have clean bathrooms i can't stand them to be dirty and I have 3. MY son who is now 6 had a problem a couple of years ago about peeing where ever he was i'd go to the bathroom and it would litterly be running down the walling, now that drove me INSANE uhggggg...... My kitchen pantry I have to have organized as well as my cabinets because i hate to look for something and can't find it because it's not in it's place. I HATE clothes i don't mind washing them but putting them away is another thing i usually grab from the dryer. I could spend ALL day cleaning from top to bottem and have it spotless and by the time i sit down and look around it's a mess again. No-one picks up after themselves. I know as long as we have kids at home we will always have a mess, it's just not the point. I told everyone this morning either they start helping and doing their part or i would do nothing including going to the grocery store or washing clothes. I'm just waiting to see the results of that, probley a joke. Little kids can help just by picking up the clothes and toys.

Hi, I just finished Intro to Chemistry for todays health. It wasn't that bad just alot to study and remember. We really didn't have to memorize the elements it was a combination of everything, protons, electrons, neutrons, formula weights and knowing the different kinds of bonds e..g. polar,(water) non-polar (gasoline)and it does involve alot of math or atleast mine did. We'd have to know the names of elements put together e.g. N20 ..dinitrogen monoxide ( uses a prefix because it's 2 nonmetals. A metal and a nonmetal end in (ide)If i can do it after being out of school for 15 years and being a math dummy anyone can do it, just make sure you sit in front of the class, ask questions, even stay over an ask if you don't know something, MOST IMPORTANT don't miss a class because when you go back you will be lost. You will do fine, it's kind of fun too.

The community college i attend has it's own website where you can register and find all of you information on it, it also has a link to the book store so you can order or see what books you are going to need, so if your school has it's own site maybe you can check to find your book.

I checked with the school today and they don't offer medical microbiology, it's just regular micro so would the be ok to take and help with what i will need to know

I think I will take it even though it isn't required, and it has been 17 years since i've had biology. Also, what are some good drug calculation books to get, i will need all the help i can get because i've always been weak in Math that was my biggest problem in Chemistry but i still got out of there with an 87. And right now i've been looking through Amazon at the Anatomy Coloring books and flash cards so when i figure out what to get i hope it will help me some.

Just finished English Comp and Intro Chem Start January 9th A & P I (4) Algebra (5) Computer Concepts (3) Fingers are crossed, Prayers have been said!! Still scared!!

The community college that I attend doesn't require us to take Micro Biology all we have to have is a Biology from high school. I've noticed on most thread everyone has to take this, so why not my school? I'm in Virginia i don't know if that makes a difference. Should I take it anyway just for heads up or not?

I think my biggest fear is all of the calculations i wasn't very good in Math when i was in High School I don't understand it unless someone shows me one on one how to do it and also the Community College that i'm attending doesn't require Microbiology i've noticed in alot of the threads everyone is taking it, should I take it even though it isn't required. I had basic biology in high school but i don't remember anything

LOL......I forgot to mention that one too, my husband had gotten laid off for about nine months when my son was a baby and i worked 3rd shift so he started putting him in the bed with him even though i fussed perfusley about it because i had been through the same thing with my daugther and didn't want to go through it again, so my son throws a fit to this day to sleep with me and most of the time i give in because i don't like hearing him cry and say he's scared.........i guess that is my weakness, but i had him 2 months early and we about lost him so he's a spoiled little s*** and at 12:58 p.m. today he turned 6

Thank you all and i'm going to try the game, he has a T.V in his room which i'm thinking is a mistake because he cries and throws a fit to watch it at night and he has to get up at 7 to get ready for school, he just usually hollars at me to get him something to eat or drink. I talked to my husband about everything INCLUDING his mother and finding her a nursing home she is 69 today she is paranoid scheizophrena bipolar and type II diabetic. I made a chore chart for everyone and that was a JOKE my mother-in-law is the only one that done hers and that stopped after about 1 week. I have to get up a 5:30a.m and be at work by 7which is 1 hr away. I just can't get organized with everything and i've tried but with little help it's wearing me down. I take Concerta for the ADD it seems to help a little bite. I tried taking Stratera it make me sick. I want this so bad, but i'm scared to death, mostly but just wondering if i will be able to remember everything I need to. Hopefully in a few months i'm gonna quit full time and try to waitress part-time so I can focus on school full-time. My daughter helps me with my son and she watches him at night when i go to school and the chore thing my mom makes me feel bad, says i'm asking to much of her. Which she is a good one because I done it all starting at age 8 from cleaning to cooking and literly takeing care of my younger brother(bathing, feeding, getting ready for school---the whole 9 yards.) So i guess i have some guilt when i ask her to do something.

I am take A & P 1, Algebra, and Computer Concepts in the Spring. I was looking through some of these A & P sites, and suddenly I feel SICK, Now I have the feeling that it's going to be soooo overwhelming and wondering if it is possible for me to do this. I have ADD and i'm so scared i can't do this, I finished fall semester in Intro to Chemistry with a B and English Comp with a B. Does anyone have any suggestions that will help me study and remember all that need to be remembered. I have a problem of waiting until the last minute and trying to cram, I know i can't do this and i have to get out of doing that.Also the problem is my house is my husband works 2nd and my 13 yr.o.d and 6 yr.o.s are always screaming at me to help do this and that, and get this and that, on top of my 69 yr.o. mother-in-law that is mentally ill, having to do for her( she lives with us also) I don't get home from work until 4 and my son WILL NOT go to bed until i do. HELP!!!!

I can't remember where i seen it, it has been a while back, but I remember someone saying something about an Anatomy coloring book and flash cards. Would anyone have any idea what they were and who they were by? Thanks!

I'm taking Introductory Chemistry for Today, God help me i'm sooooooooooo lost

i did sign up to get tutering i'm not to proud to ask for help when i know i don't know what i'm doing, and my professor is a sweet man god love his heart but i think the man has slight memeory loss because he talks in circles and starts on on thing and jumps to another ALOT of people in there last night just looked at each other i was just sitting there thinking I"M SCREWED. I wanted to cry i just don't understand some of it. i'm determined i will pass this class or die trying. I know it's not that hard and it is interesting it's just some of these questions on the homework are driving me NUTS! Like: is the following property physical or chemical and explain your resaoning Alcohol is very flammable or a 1 in.cube of aluminum weighs less tha a 1-in.cube of lead. oh well i'll be up til time to go to work trying to figure this stuff out

My first class of Developmental Chemistry was last night, my counselor put me in this course and said i didn't need a strong math background, i haven't ever had algebra, but i feel that i got the shaft after looking through the book and the professer said i would need to know about math. I HAVE to get through this course, anyone have any suggestions because now i'm not feeling so hot about this class.
