  1. Yes it is. Search on the site and others have shared their experience doing it. I believe NY does not require it and allows for unlimited retakes.
  2. If I remember correctly, you can reapply right away but have to wait the 45 days between tests
  3. Amybeloved, I feel for you. I was in the same boat as you, graduated Dec '13, failed 2x in early 2014 then gave up. I just started studying again for a retake. Sending good vibes your way and were in this together!
  4. Awesome Job congrats on passing. I am in the same situation you were. I have just started studying again after two years of denial and avoiding the test. You're story gives me encouragement that it can be done!
  5. Awesome Job! I've been out of school almost 3 years, and last time I took the test was 2 years ago. I've started studying again for the first time and your story serves as some inspiration! Thanks for sharing.
  6. I'm in the same situation as you. I graduated in Dec 2013, took the test in February and May 2014 and failed both times. I just recently decided to stop doubting myself and try again. I just signed up for Hurst and will be doing Uworld as well. Good luck to you!
  7. Does anyone know where to find promo codes for Uworld or Hurst Review? Please don't say "just Google it" because I've done that already and they seem to be elusive.
  8. What was your timetable from graduation to passing the NCLEX?
  9. Im right there with you. Graduated in 2013, failed twice in 2014. I've been to scared to study or take the test again. I gave up on myself for 2 years, but now I'm back and studying again.

I really like the Cherokee brand that is the soft feel. Don't bother with Barco or Greys.

I've been wearing Nike Air Max's for the past 6 years and love them. I've converted multiple people to them. If you wait until next years model comes out in Sept/Oct you can get the prior year on sale and use the $20 coupon at finish line which greatly reduces the cost.
  12. Have you taken the NCLEX RN in the past two years? Please help us out by answering these questions: 1. What kind of student were you (4.0? Barely Passing...etc) BSN? Associate's? LPN->RN? Associates RN, 3.5 2. How long after graduation did wait to test? 2 months 3. How much time did you devote to hard core studying? 40+ hours a week 4. Did you pass/fail? failed first time 5. First time taker? If not how many times have you taken the exam. 2x 6. How many questions did you get and how long did it take you? First: 75, second: 253 7. How did you study? (specific resources?)(did they help?/waste of time?) Hurst online, kaplan review. 8. Did you find the exam easier/harder than you expected ? harder 9. If you used questions banks, which ones and what were your scores/percentages? I forget 10. Recommendations to decrease anxiety pre/post test? Dont work too much, dont do too many questions at one time trying to plow through the bank 11. If you could only give a upcoming test taker one piece of advice what would it be? (Can be anything!) Dont lose faith 12. Other recommendations/anything else to include?
  13. We had to wait 3 weeks but that was due to our school being shut down for winter break. They did not get our names to the BON before break, and we had to wait until after they got back from holiday.
  14. I felt ATI Comp was not an accurate predictor or helps prepare you with the types of questions on NCLEX. I received an 98% probability on ATI and I failed NCLEX. I would take the % ATI gives you and pretend like it never happened. I over estimated myself because of it. Just my two cents.
  15. Ok Nurising family I need your help. I am turning to you for help and motivation. I graduated nursing school in Dec of 2013 and first took the NCLEX in March of 2014 and failed. I know I underestimated the test because I was a 3.5gpa student. I took a month to have my pity party, regrouped and studied. I did the Kaplan book and their test bank. I took the test again in July 2014 and I failed again. Between July 2014 and now I have no excuse. I have lied to myself and given myself excuses, but all they are is excuses. I was scared of the 3rd and final shot here in Florida. I am determined to pass this test. I just enrolled in Hurst to brush up on knowledge base, after I plan on doing Uworld. Any helpful tips or encouragement would be appreciated.
