  1. Anyone going to SAC this fall? I made another post, but no one is biting, so I figured I would post it in another forum. I don't know how to edit my previous post haha. My stomach is turning awaiting acceptance into the SAC Nursing Program for Fall 2...
  2. TEAS V test Friday! Is it hard to get a 'proficient' score?

I thought the TEAS was a little more difficult than the NLN. If you can, take both and submit the exam score that benefits you more to the school you're applying to! :)
  3. TEAS V test Friday! Is it hard to get a 'proficient' score?

Oh bummer! I'm sorry to hear that. No worries, though. A week is not enough time to study and comprehend all of the information needed to do well on the exam. If you have the money, I highly recommend the ATI-TEAS study guide and practice tests. Whe...
  4. San Antonio College, TX (SAC) Fall 2016

Congrats! You should join the Texas Nursing Association SAC Facebook page :)
  5. TEAS V test Friday! Is it hard to get a 'proficient' score?

How did your test go? Sorry I didn't see this comment sooner!
  6. Getting into San Antonio Nursing With B's?

The acceptance is based on points, so it really depends who else is applying for that semester. A 3.00 with give you 3 points, 3.50 will give you 3.5 points, etc. They also base it off of TEAS scores, job experience (for certain medical related field...
  7. TEAS V test Friday! Is it hard to get a 'proficient' score?

Okay! Well, just because they only require a score of proficient doesn't always mean that a proficient score will be accepted. However, if you feel as though that score will get you accepted into the program then that's all that matters. Good luck an...
  8. Try talking to the professors? Sometimes they (or someone higher up) can write off the restriction and allow you to take both classes together if you have good academic standing.
  9. TEAS V test Friday! Is it hard to get a 'proficient' score?

Congratulations, though! That's a great score for your first time taking the exam :) proud of you for passing with a 70%!
  10. TEAS V test Friday! Is it hard to get a 'proficient' score?

I would talk to a nursing advisor (at each school) before submitting that score. Some schools weigh the TEAS more than they do GPA, but if that is not the case for the schools you are applying to then don't retake it.
  11. TEAS V test Friday! Is it hard to get a 'proficient' score?

Well hey, at least you have the experience now and know what to expect next time around! That is, unless you did phenomenal and are just psyching yourself out. Haha let me know how you did! Don't worry, the science part can be a little tricky. Make ...
  12. TEAS V test Friday! Is it hard to get a 'proficient' score?

No one is judging you here :) I'm telling you KHAN ACADEMY!!!! It's a free personal tutor haha.
  13. Choosing a University

I did much better in A&P II (A+) than I did in A&P I ( B ). Micro was...well I didn't really enjoy micro haha, but that's because I didn't take the lab with micro (bad mistake on my part). I passed, though! You'll do well though, just study s...
  14. TEAS V test Friday! Is it hard to get a 'proficient' score?

The only reason the exam will be hard is if you haven't been studying, but since you've been studying the practice tests and for the past few weeks you should do fine! There are videos on YouTube (just type in TEAS-V) that are great refreshers. Also,...
  15. Choosing a University

    - University of the Incarnate Word -University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio Actually, instead of listing off a bunch of schools, I am going to suggest you go online to the Texas BON page and compare the NCLEX-RN pass rates for the B...

  21. Worried about TEAS?!

No need to panic. There is a plethora of information and study tips on the Internet (for FREE) that could benefit you immensely. If you study regularly for your prerequisite courses (which I'm assuming you do considering the 4.0) you will do fine. If...
  22. Choosing a University

Texas has some of the best nursing schools in the country! I'd look at every option in state, since you aren't restricted to location, and go from there. Do you want to attend an ADN program or do you prefer to go the traditional BSN route? Some scho...

I am going to apply to UIW for Spring 2017 as a transfer student. I was wondering what your score/GPA was when you applied for the program? Do you know what they weigh the most when considering applicants? Thank you!
