Do you get shift insomnia? Worried about it!:(
Hi everyone! I'm a nursing student at the moment. I was talking with a few nurses about how they had night shifts and started that way so I was excited about it and began searching it up online to hear others' experiences but I noticed many people also began to develop insomnia because they'd get home during the day and work during the night! I have been waiting so long to be a nurse but a worry began to develop in me that the same would happen to me and I woulddevelop insomnia or have a hard time falling asleep knowing how sleep is so important and then messing up at work and losing my license or something! Does anyone else experience this and have any advice? The more I worry about sleep is what prevents me from getting sleep so lately I've just been not caring about it or the future too much and it does help me cope with it. I hope I don't become hooked on any sleeping pills or anything like that b/c I am a very active person always exercising and taking care of my diet and all! Do you guys use Valerian Root or melatonin? I hear small doses of melatonin is not addictive or something? If you guys do have insomnia, how bad has it affected your patients? Have you ever done something life-threatening?

Worried about TEAS?!
Thank you! :) Every little thing is going to be alright! I always worried about tests like this as a child but always ended up doing great. I'm sure this is one of those stages, but time will pass and I will make my parents proud! :)

Worried about TEAS?!
Hello everyone! I am new to this site and I hope I can get some help. Right now, I am doing my pre-reqs and have 1 year left. I have a 4.0 GPA still and hope to keep it that way, but I heard about the TEAS test and was wondering if anyone had some tips about it? I feel a lot of pressure on me in the family as our financial situation can also get a little better and I am our one hope in the family. I have never been worried about timed tests but I'm now worrying that I will do bad and choke on the TEAS because I read a horror story for someone else and it cannot get out of my head! The cut score is 62% for my community college, but I plan to do bridge program to attend a Calstate for my bachelors and I think that the Calstates take in your highest TEAS score meaning I can take it as many times as I want? I imagine a timer going off and me feeling pressured every time I imagine myself taking the TEAS and I've always been a great test-taker. Maybe my adrenaline will push me through it and I will not realize it just like every last time? Any tips? Thank you!
