Graduate courses prior to enrolling in NP Program
I know this is from quite a few years ago, but was wondering what you ended up doing? I'm also military and need to take an advanced path class. Did you do a class at Liberty and did they allow you to do it as a non-degree seeking student, or did you take another course of action? Thank you!

USAGPAN 2023
I appreciate the feedback! I believe my GPA is competitive and I'm currently in the process of studying for the GRE, as well as trying to figure out which Biochemistry class I want to take (University of New England's or UC San Diego Extension's).

USAGPAN 2023
Hello everyone! Would anyone happen to know the percentage of applicants that were accepted over the previous few years? I hear from some people that there are hardly enough applicants to fill all of the slots, but I hear from others that it is extremely competitive to get accepted. Also, do active duty applicants have an advantage? Or does that not matter. I'm a 66S. Thanks!

Capstone UTA
I am very interested in the UTA RN to BSN program. I see that many of their courses require an "application-based" experience in the community. Would anyone be willing to to speak about these classes and what they entail? Thank you so much in advance.

Grand Canyon University RN to BSN Reviews
You're right about the price. It isn't bad at all. I'll also receive a hefty discount for military affiliation, which makes their program even more enticing. If they convert to a non-profit soon, I may even begin classes before Summer starts. I know several former classmates, as well as colleagues, who've completed GCU's RN to BSN program and they've all had mostly good things to say. If you do decide on this program, when do you plan to start?

Grand Canyon University RN to BSN Reviews
There was some talk of this earlier in this thread. I just wanted to get some input from others who may have some new information on this. I will let you know if I find out anything else. Hopefully, someone will comment here. I do plan on starting this program as long as the Higher Learning Commission accepts GCU's proposal to convert back to a non-profit (there may be a decision on this sometime near the end of February). If this happens, I'd like to start in the summer. The driving force behind my decision is that the hospitals where I live prefer to higher BSN-prepared nurses. They will hire ADN nurses, but you have to sign a contract stating you'll have a BSN within three years. Additionally, I'd like to eventually become an NP.

Grand Canyon University RN to BSN Reviews
Hi, everyone. I read some comments on this forum regarding certain states no longer recognizing the BSN from GCU's RN to BSN program, specifically the state of Washington. However, I contacted the Washington Board of Nursing and asked about the RN to BSN program and they told me that they do accept/recognize the RN to BSN from GCU in their state and if I live in another state, as long as the program is accepted in my home state and I have a license, they will recognize it. I contacted GCU directly and they were also unaware of any states not recognizing their RN to BSN program. Does anybody have any updated/further information on this? It sounded like both the Washington Board of Nursing and GCU had not heard of this issue. Thank you in advance.

CAL U- RN to BSN program
Generic UserName, You mentioned going to in-class classes. Do they have a 100% online option? I live out of state and won't be able to make it to an actual campus. Also, do they require any clinical days and/or practicums in the community/place of work? Thank you in advance.

Ppcc nursing program?
The PPCC program is excellent. Number one in the state of Colorado! The prereqs don't take too long. I think most people take about a year to complete them (maybe more if you need BIO 111 and Intro to psych). My recommendation is also to complete Pathophysiology, Nutrition, and Math for Clinical Calculations BEFORE you enter the program, so that you can focus only on the nursing courses when you start. I also have small children at home and it is definitely tough, but doable. I would not recommend having another one before you graduate, but everyone is different and you have to do what is right for you.

Pikes Peak community college program?
Sure! My GPA was 4.0 and I had a prior degree. If you don't get in right away, keep applying. I have classmates that had to try a couple times. Keep in mind, your TEAS score does not matter as far as how high you score for PPCC. You only have to meet the minimum to apply; it is not calculated in your ranking.

Pikes Peak Community College
Hey! I just wanted to give you a little news on PPCC's LPN to RN program. You may want to call the nursing office because I was told that more often than not, they don't actually hold the LPN to RN program because there are not enough applicants. I do know that Pueblo Community College holds one each year, though.

Boise state online RN-BSN
Hi USA987! Looking at the date of your last post about BSU, I'd imagine you're probably done or close to being done with the program. Looking back, are you still glad you did the program? Are all of the classes the same (exams, group projects, etc)? What are the leadership and community projects, how and where do you do them, and how do you prove you did them? If there is anything else in general about their program that you could tell me (pros, cons, tips, etc), I'd love to know! Thank you in advance!

Pikes Peak community college program?
Hey, Slytherinmoon! I am currently in the Pikes Peak Community College nursing program. The program is excellent and the teachers are great. In fact, PPCC has the highest NCLEX pass rates in the state. Is there anything in particular you'd like to know?

National averages for all sections
Hi everyone, The program that I'll be applying to in March requires that I beat the overall national average, as well as the national averages for Reading and Math. I've seen that the overall national average currently stands at 64.3%. Can anyone post the current national averages for the Reading section and the Math section? I'd really, really appreciate it. I will do my best no matter what. However, I have been working on practice tests and would like to know where I stand and if I am ready. Any other advice would be appreciated as well. Thank you in advance!!
