  1. If Phenergan is a vesicant and will damage the tissue if it infiltrates, how can it be given IM? Isn't this like going from the frying pan into the fire?
  2. I haven't experienced many objects where they shouldn't be in the short time I spent in the ER except for popcorn kernels in ear canals. Two separate kids had this problem. One kernel came out easily when flushed. The other swelled from the water and after trying various forceps, etc. with much discomfort to the patient, the MD referred the patient to the local ENT clinic for removal.
  3. Congratulations! I wish I knew about the shortcut. I had to buy a box of Prilosec waiting for my results when I took the NCLEX.
  4. So the standard to pass the NCLEX is 51%. As long as a person ends up above the passing line, they have passed?
  5. The worst interview I ever had involved 2 interviewers playing "good cop, bad cop". One was respectful and interested in my answers to the questions, the other one was rude and responded to some of my answers "What does that that have to do with anything?" as well as telling me I lived too far away for the job and generally being unpleasant. I normally go to interviews prepared, this interview being no exception and thankfully with good self control. The interview ended with both interviewers looking at each other, literally shrugging their shoulders as if they didn't know what else to say. Needless to say I left quite annoyed, thinking why was my time wasted if I was so unqualified. I quickly forgot about the job interview, but a week and a half later I received a phone call offering me the job, which I accepted. I worked there 15 years until the plant closed in 2011, taking the oppurtunity to pursue a career in nursing.
