  1. can anyone suggest a free essay checker to me please? I have my paper I need to submit by tomorrow night!! Thanks you!
  2. Hi, this has nothing to do with the topic but.... I've been searching high and low for a site that won't charge me to check my paper. Grammarly.com asks for money. I have my paper to submit tomorrow night. Can anyone suggest a good standing free site??? Thanks!!!
  3. I aced the test, I guess I won't need it anymore.
  4. Hi, Illusion...., I noticed in old threads back in 2012 you had given to different ppl a link or something to help them with the HESI test. I was wondering if you can help me too by maybe giving me the link or site??? Thank you :)
  5. I met with the advisor and she was good. She went over the information. So I found out that there are two classes offered for TEAS V it's a math class and science class, each 3 hrs long. I signed up for them before leaving the school. So there are two other exams???? LPN STEP exam, she said I have to get overall 66% but I can test out of Semester 3 if I achieve a 75% on the Fundamental of Nursing, and Pharmacology parts of the exam? She said whatever materials I used to study for my NCLEX-PN I just need to go over them and then come take the test. So what did you do for the LPN STEP Exam test to pass it? Then the third is a dosage calc test, she said to go on dosagehelp.com. So did you use the dosage calc site??? Oh she told me that BON wants all college to be at, atg least 70 %, but she said eversince ATI the students are doing much better now.
  6. I don't think I will be attending Excelsior College because they don't offer aid to pay for the Nurse Core classes. There is aid for pre-requisites only.
  7. I'm in Ocala, Fl I just got my LPN license, I'm going to meet with an advisor Tomorrow 10 a.m., but I was told your credits can't be no more than 6 yrs old. I have taken the TEAS and got a 57.3% and I truly studied the ATI TEAS manual from cover to cover , but at the same time I took it at another school too. But deermarys can you give me some pointers on what to study or look at differently??? Thanks :)
  8. brandymurray3 wow that's great congrats! Can you share with me like how to go about basically from the first thing they will give me to do??? How were you able to be successful with them??? So the Staff does help the students from the time they enter through the last classes and such???? How long did it take you to get up to this point??
  9. my A & P I and II are more than covered, but my Microbiology was done in Spring 2009 (I hated that class, but I passed w/ C grade). I really hope they don't make me take it again!
  10. I'm gonna have to look at my unofficial transcrtipt because I think I'm safe.
  11. It also looks like they have help for their students too, I believe.
  12. As soon as I saw your post about not going to them, I was like OMG I almost made a big mistake lol! Yes, so I went on Excelsior College official website and I got their toll free phone number and I just called to see what days and time they're open so Monday they open at 8 a.m. so I'll be calling them at that time. I did some more research on Excelsior's website so it seems they want current license, and your pre requisites for the A.S. but they didn't indicate if the amount of years matter or not. I want to establish my schooling before I get like a part time job too.
  13. Okay so basically just go on the website of Excelsior College and directly contact them for their online Bridge Program instead .... right?
  14. OMG! I have an appointment with them on Tuesday!
  15. Oh yea, I live in Central Florida a.k.a Ocala, Fl
  16. Is it smart to go through College Network in order to get to Excelsior? They said they're connected to them???
  17. Hi, I need advice and guidance. I recently got my LPN this May. I went today to take the TEAS V, and didn't get the 65 the school that I went to, to get my LPN. I got a 57%. I decided to look up which on line school would be best, because I really want to become a RN. Oh yea, we all had asked the Dean in my school at the time we were in the program why doesn't the school just let us bridge over? She said it's just school policy. Okay, so I've been reading about Excelsior. I did some research on it and it seems like a legit school, and it has gotten great reviews from a lot of people here on allnurses.com. I called them up today and spoke to someone, and they were super nice, and told me I go according to my life's schedule. I was told I can finish in 12 months if I want. I set up an appointment with a guidance counselor for Tuesday morning in a public place. I have all of my pre-requisites up to Bachelor for Nursing Degree. I see that they take all classes and it doesn't matter how old they are. So what would you all advise me? I am going to write all of my questions down and bring them with me in the meeting and also take notes.
  18. Hi, 'alilcloser' I'm sorry to hear you failed the fist time with Mc Graw Hills 1st. That's so crazy because of how so many ppl used it and passed with it. So how did you do with the ATI TEAS study manual ( which I had bought to have gotten into the LPN program?)? This time I have studied both books BUT I took my time and really went literally from page to page in my ATI TEAS V Manual and made sure I understoond everything in the book. I can say between 2012 studying and 2014 studying it's really different this time around! I really understood what's in the book and it was a much smoother studying, I don't know if it's because I had gone through LPN ( they say LPN do better, who knows!!!). Well I just want your opinion and everybody elses' opinion if it's possible. I even did the Test # 1 Practice test in the back too, I can say the science part .... I understand alot of it, but not 100% but pretty close this time around.
  19. JackieSalvador, you saw how Kaplan helped for the NCLEX-PN, so you know you'll be grt after you do Kaplan for the RN, I'm so happy for you. I know you'll do grt on NCLEX-RN exam! :)
  20. on May 15 I took my nclex and on May 16 my name was on Board of Nursing I have Kaplan as one of the sources used to help me pass. Yes Kaplan kicked my butt!!! When I sat down and took my test I was happy it kicked my butt!!
  21. I plan on studying the McGraw Hills 1st Edition book. I wonder is it worth it to purchase the second version..... please let me know. I still have my original TEAS V manual book. I plan on studying the back practice tests only and also do all 5 tests on the McGraw Hills book. If anyone who took the TEAS this year or know someone who took it this year and have helpful tips, please share!
  22. As of this morning I'm officially a LPN! I want to thank everyone who has ever written what they have done to conquer the great beast named NCLEX-PN! The sources that I had stated helped ensured me passing. I knew very early on in the exam that I was passing. But I didn't not expect the computer to shut off at 85! I trembled for almost an hour after the test, that I couldn't drive back home right away. I had to talk on the phone until I was driveable lol! but I had one picture, and one low level question, about 2 to 3 questions that I flat out didn't know the answer too, so I really had to eliminate carefully the answers that really didn't make sense. I did take my time reading each question no matter what. I would look at the clock once in a while, but I would always go back to the question that was in front of me, and refocus on what the question is asking me. I had no math, I had alot of SATA and put in order. alot of times, I would get like 2 to 3 questions back to back that were SATA I didn't like that at all but I didn't let it side track me though. It felt like majority of my test were either SATA or put in order questions. Even though I had high level questions, and I felt Ok because I understood 100% of what was being asked of me, and I automatically had in my mind all the possible things that GOES WITH the situations, and NCLEX never once was able to shake me because of all the things I learned throughout my 3 months of studying. Thanks to the 3 sources I used througout the 3 months I took to study. Also thank you all who wished me luck for my exam. Also praying really calms you down alot, and helps too. Now I'm going to take the TEAS in June so I can get in the bridge program in my school, that starts in July. If there are questions please let me know. I'll be glad to give my opinion to you all.
  23. Congrats on your success. I am scheduled to test May 15, 2014 at 8 a.m. I wish they had afternoon appts like my first time but they don't. My brain is very efficient, alert, and works very well in the morning instead too, so I guess it's okay. This time around I actually have confidence in myself that I didn't have, and have gained knowledge of subjects that I didn't know much on, etc.. I know I'm ready now. I've been doing review of all sources ( ATI, Exam Cram, Kaplan Ques Bank online) in a steady pace and stop when I need a break, because I want what I review to be firm in my mind, Especially ATI. I have decided 48 hrs before my test not to touch anything and also the day of my test. I figure A) I will give my brain a good rest B) if I don't know it by 48 hrs before the test, then I ain't ever gonna know it. I have prayed constantly from the time I had started to study, which will be about 3 months now, I am continuously continuing to pray, I believe prayer is powerful but i also know by me doing my part too, everything will be alright.
