Leaving Nursing for Another Career
I was a librarian before I went to nursing school. I left nursing for a few years to work in retail. I loved retail, but the pay was terrible . I went back to nursing . Left and became a special education teacher for 5 years. That led to a position of school nurse. I am now retired .

MSN Nurse without clinical experience please help!!
As a school RN, I do not believe this is a job for a nurse without clinical experience. I would have been lost my first few years as a school nurse without a clinical background for perspective.

Are clinic and school nursing jobs "too easy"
I have been a school nurse for the past 3 years. I love it. I started my nursing career 26 years ago in the hospital. I decided bedside nursing was not for me. That being said, I believe the hospital experience prepares you for other positions. For the most part, as a school nurse, you are on your own, working independently. This requires wide nursing knowledge and knowledge of the nurse practice act.
