I applied for CM, and I have not heard anything back yet...I agree with Lbfb, it seems like we will be waiting until next week to hear back. As always, please do post on this thread as soon as you hear something!

Lbfb- I have the same feeling, unfortunately. It doesn't seem like any early acceptances have gone out this year-- I do wonder why not, though... Here's hoping the next week goes by quickly, this wait is rough..

Lbfb- Thank you for the good wishes! After getting lost a bit around the campus, I made it to my interview today in plenty of time :-) Now I'm very anxious to hear back...the individual who interviewed me mentioned that the last batch of interviews is happening on March 7th, and that we can expect to hear back sometime after that. Has anybody heard about any early admissions offers going out (as they have in years past)?

Lbfb- I forgot to ask, did they have you do a writing sample at the end of your interview?

Isabellaboho- Vaguayo is right! Don't be afraid of the TEAS-- I also used the ATI book to study, and mostly polished up on the math procedures (It has been almost 10 years since my last real math class!)..I devoted about a week to study, and managed to get an 87%, which I was okay with. Focus on the areas you are weakest in, and you should be all set. I have a quick question for you both (I also posted this in your last thread, Vaguayo :-)): Are we required to complete the initial evaluation through the university first prior to applying-- even if we are ready to submit the application itself? How do you plan to prepare?

Good news, fellow CM applicants--Interview e-mails have started to go out. I got mine around 6pm this evening. If you haven't yet, hopefully you get yours soon as well! I am planning on interviewing on February 26th. Do let us know when you hear back, and when you plan on interviewing. Cheers :-)

Hi Colettee! Always nice to meet a fellow applicant. I had all of my prereqs done except for 2 non-science prereqs. Were you able to complete all of your prereqs prior to applying?

Program Type: ADN Adjusted Individual Total Score: 87.3 ATI Academic Preparedness Level: Advanced Mean - National: 64.3% Mean - Program: 64.9% Percentile Rank - National - 97 Percentile Rank - Program - 98 Reading Adjusted Individual Score 92.9% Mathematics A.I.S. 86.7% Science A.I.S. 81.3% English and Language Usage A.I.S. 90% I'm not sure why my program type is listed as ADN, as I am applying to direct entry BSN and MSN programs. After seeing all the BSN scores in the 90s in this thread, I'm beginning to feel like I need a retest :-/.

I definitely agree--the exam is not too intimidating if you are familiar with the content in the ATI TEAS study guide. If you are short on time, I would highly recommend taking an online practice test to determine what areas need the most focus from you, and tackle those areas of focus directly.

How difficult it will be for you entirely depends on your personal experience and academic background. I highly recommend taking a practice test online to determine what your areas of weakness are, and then directly focusing on those areas using the ATI TEAS V study guide. I managed to score in the 97th percentile after 2 hours of prep and focusing on the math section-- the math covered mostly focuses on things many of us may not have seen since middle school/high school. Hi, nae312213. I agree with bratty477. While it may be tempting to retake your exam in hopes of getting a better score, I would hang tight out of concern for potentially scoring lower on your retake. Your stats are already very strong, and with a TEAS score in the upper 90th percentile, I am certain that your score on the exam will be looked upon very favorably during the admissions process.

Hey All, I couldn't find a thread for Samuel Merritt's FNP and CM programs for Fall 2014 entry, so I thought I would start one. Who here has submitted applications for either of those programs? Did you apply to one or both of the ELMSN programs? Have you considered the ABSN program as well? I submitted an app for the CM program, and am eager to hear back in coming months.
