Multiple schools
I would like to offer a different perspective than RUN and DON'T DO IT. I don't think anyone can completely know the situation without being there. In Colorado, we are all itinerant nurses covering multiple schools in each district. We have systems, protocols and support and it works well. I'm not saying it isn't hard, because it is, but it is also super rewarding and is always new and different. If you are organized, love to teach and train and are there for the kids, its great. That being said you are there mainly for assessments, IEP/504 meetings, screenings etc. but man the kids need good quality nurses who can advocate for them. You are teaching medication administration, writing health care plans and making sure kids have what they need in a place where (for whatever reason) they cannot have a nurse in each building. If you train well and are a good communicator it can be a satisfying and rewarding job.

Master's Practicum
I don't have any great ideas for you but I am really curious about the program at Aspen University - it looks great - just wondering how you are liking it and is it 100% online?

Annoyed and perhaps a little unsure
As much of a pain as this is, we have instituted for EVERY single head bump of any kind we call parents. There have been too many instances that have come back and "bit us". We also send a "bump on the head letter" home for every single one. I or a UAP can mark on the paper if we tried and could not reach parent as well. Most of the time these things are silly and minor, but when it isn't you have your bases with parents covered.

Nosebleeds
I always have them stay. If I didn't there would be blood on every surface of the school and themselves.

How many diabetics do you have?
I have one high schooler who is not great at his own care and I am constantly monitoring and he is always high and spends way too much time in the health office and I have one preschooler. I am one nurse for a middle/high school and two preK/elementary schools. These two keep me up at night!

Nutrition certification/education for nurses
Thank you so much! Yes, I have heard a lot of good and bad about Integrative Nutrition... I'm not suer what to think about it. Its good to connect with others who have similar interests as we all figure this out! :)

Nutrition certification/education for nurses
healthy nurse - I would love to know how you are utilizing your certificate in plant based nutrition. I also have that and am graduating as an RN in May. I really want to be a health coach and am wondering how to make that happen! Any advice?
