  1. Hi guys. A friend of mine already received her DL yesterday exactly 50 regular calendar days. I think your hunch is right Ms Maj, about 50 days is their standard processing of DL for applications queued on August. She's lucky too because her assessor emailed her after she got the DL asking to resubmit the declaration of good health form because it was completed by her former employer. It won't affect her DL as her assessor just placed a note on her application and she just need to send it to her assessor by email. Anyway, I'm still waiting and hoping that my DL will come on the 50th day too. I entered the queue on Aug. 15. Good luck too all!
  2. @leicesteruk congrats on your DL! when did you entered the queue?
  3. Hi nurses. So I have just submitted all my docs to the NMC via DHL today but here's my concern..I have accomplished my details on the NMC portal prior to sending my docs and I put a wrong date on the date commenced of my post secondary qualification. It is only a 1 day difference from my real date commenced but I'm now worried. Do you know if it will affect my application? What do you suggest I should do? TIA!

  5. Hi. Yes, I have received their email confirmation already and my NMC account was then updated. NMC said they have technical issues right now. I emailed them after the suggestions of our colleagues in this thread and I got their reply on the same day. Didn't expect them to reply so fast as they noted that it takes up to 10 working days for them to respond to any emails. Anyway, I suggest you email them ASAP and hope you get reply soon too to progress on your application.
  6. @dee_nightingale, BSN, RN my girlfriend and I used the same credit card and she also haven't got a confirmation letter that she passed the cbt. We took it on the same day and time. We maybe experiencing the same problems as what your friend encountered. Thanks for the heads up. I'll try emailing or calling NMC regarding this situation.
  7. Thanks for the reply. It's been 7 days now including weekends since I passed and still no update from my nmc account. Hopefully it will be updated soon.
  8. Good day nurses. Anyone here took CBT and passed this June? I haven't received any confirmation email from NMC stating i passed the cbt and my NMC account is also not yet updated. How long do i have to wait? It's been 6days after i took and passed the cbt. Any suggestions guys? TIA!
  9. Hi there! We have the same sentiments. Only mine's a whole lot worse. Been an RN since 2011 and from then on I haven't had a decent career on any field. Heck, I haven't been on any job longer than 5mos. I jumped from one industry to another although all of then medical related. I'm always quitting when I felt like my nursing license and all those hard years to complete the nursing course in college are all going to waste. But because of my determination to pursue nursing work, early this year I had the chance to practice in a hospital setting but only as a volunteer. After about 4mos we were terminated because the doh started to punish hospitals with volunteers who are not given allowances. It sucks specially because I've sacrificed so much and gave everything to service the hospital and its patients. Now I'm lost. 3 yrs out of college and nothing's going right with my professional career. I don't know if I should still pursue nursing. It just sucks to be a nurse in PH right now. :c
  10. In behalf of my countrymen, thanks for your help!
  11. Thanks for the heads up ceridwyn although I'm already well aware of everything that you said. Maine1987, I'm surprised that you seem surprised. I was hoping you'd figured it out already. You see, us RN's in the Philippines are in a surplus with high unemployment/underemployment rate. Most if employed are abused by their employers in terms of workload and pay. So I guess this is why so many of us are wanting to go abroad even if there's no guaranteed work there. Being in a better country will bring better opportunities because the difficulty of landing a job is just the same from where we come from but if we ever finally land one in the country we wanted to go to it will be far better and really rewarding compared to having a job back home. I'm not disregarding the opinions you guys are giving and I'm thankful that you guys are concerned. But this is the only way out after wasting so much time, money, and effort trying to find my way being a nurse in a country where hope is just but a word.
  12. Good day nurses! Anybody here tried applying through magsaysay/care-with-care bound to Aus?
  13. I'm sorry I'm just confused, are those 2 2x2 pictures have to be in the scanned resume? Or should we scan those 2 pics separately?
  14. Hi guys! I also heard about the allowance/salary of 16k and that they will still deploy in the community setting. I think it's still a good thing considering the dramatic increase in the allowance/salary compared to the past RN Heals. I tried emailing the nearest regional office where I intend to apply but got no response from them. I hope the central office would post the guidelines soon.
