  1. I have been in law enforcement for the past 4 and a half years. Just over 2 years ago, I watched half of my patrol squad get laid off just before the city began chomping at the bit to "reform" our pension. I decided to revisit the idea of nursing school which I initially considered after my time in the military. I start nursing school here in Jacksonville, FL in January.
  2. Hey. I'm a law enforcement officer and I start nursing school in January. I'm not saying that every place is the same but officers in my town are given discretion over the outcomes of most of their traffic stops. Any time I made a traffic stop, short of a stop for a criminal violations, I could decide to issue a citation, written warning, or a verbal warning. The demeanor of the officer coupled with the applicable factors of the driver will ultimately determine the outcome of the stop.
  3. I'm so busy I don't have time to worry. I'll be dropping my application off at FSCJ this week. Don't expect to hear anything until Thanksgiving...
