  1. I also had white uniforms in nursing school. Just wash regularly and iron them. You'll be fine
  2. Yea that's possible
  3. Yea he got the background check email sometime after his interview.
  4. No I never got an interview for them. I actually got an offer from Palomar while waiting for scripps
  5. Yeah I had a friend who got that. Unfortunately I don't think that email is good news :/
  6. I don't think anyone has really hard of anything changing about statuses for the 26th opening
  7. I know of 3 people who got emails, not calls.
  8. I didn't get any notice for an interview. good luck to you both!
  9. I'm also under consideration for both. This waiting game is horrible.
  10. Yay!! Let's hope we get calls/emails for interview!!
  11. Dang that sucks...I hate the waiting game. Yes I got mine in July this year.
  12. Hey everyone! anyone apply for scripps new grad program that starts for january and march? Let's start a thread here :) Mine says "hiring manager review", really hoping I land it! Anyone else out there?
  13. Good luck everyone! I've been checking everyday, but no changes to status. How about anyone else? Mine still says "under consideration".
  14. I went backwards! and thats ok! whatever can get you to your dreams right? :) I got my Bachelor's in Kinesiology and now in an associates program, and its actually better than the program where I got my bachelors at!
  15. In my experience, I had a 2.9 overall gpa and prob 2.5 science gpa. I am currently in nursing school and I feel very lucky that I am in it. Apply everywhere you can and don't lose hope! Because right when I was about to lose hope and was going to retake all my sciences was when I got an email saying I got into a nursing program. Good luck!!
  16. I think if it's something you truly want to do for your career and it's your passion, go for it! Don't quit, just keep on trying. It WILL happen. Just have faith :)
  17. I would apply to everywhere you can...dont worry you will def get in somewhere with that gpa! Im in cali too...look on california state website. look up nursing and the programs you can apply to. also, there is assist.org where you can put in the community college vs university and see what transfers for your prereqs. Youll do great! Good luck! :)
  18. I love absolutely everything that has to do with clinicals! I always have a good time. I love getting to know my patients, learning from my instructor, practicing skills and applying what we are learning in lecture and lab into clinical. I love nursing school and am so excited for this to be my career :)
  19. Usually you can sit for your CNA boards after your 1st semester of nursing school, thats what im planning to do! So maybe look into that instead of paying for a program. But i think its a good idea to get a part time job if your able to with the school workload :)
  20. congrats jessriz! I'm actually in first semester at Palomar College...its going great and I absolutely love it! Idk my points going in, I never added them..but good luck sinta12!!
  21. go on an big trip together! that would be fun, and u both deserve it
  22. my school only allows you to look at your exam for 5 minutes every mon and tues until the next test comes along. So we usually have a test every two wks and then they will shred the past exam. So, we are going into the final cumulative exam hoping we remember what we got wrong on past exams :/
  23. Yeah I agree. It's too much of a complicated process to understand and critically think on how the whole nursing process works. Wait until you get into a nursing program. It'll be much easier that way to learn rather than by yourself :)
  24. omg thats awesome!!! congrats!!!! :) :)
  25. Great thanks for the tips....I'll definitely look into the home care agency!
