  1. Wow I hate working with groups but okay. I can work with that. If your home state right now is Texas, can you do your clinicals in NY or NJ? ?
  2. Cool. Last question ? Do they have group projects? Thank you so much
  3. I love you. Thank you for this response. Are you able to talk or chat with your classmates? That is my only concern. I currently have MSN Nursing Informatics from WGU and there is no way to contact my classmates if I have any question.
  4. I am choosing between UoSA or Frontier U for PMHNP program. What can you say with UoSA? Did they help you find a preceptor? Also, will you recommend it?
  5. @LadyT618 OMG you are future me. Which school in TX did you go to?
  6. OMG Finally someone shares their review books! I have been scouring the internet for review materials and what to study for this exam. Is it as hard or NCLEX or ANCC PMHRN certification? Thanks!
  7. What book did you use?
  8. I studied intensively for 2 weeks. Good luck!
  9. Hello! I passed my Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Certification by ANCC. I used Momentrix PMHN Exam Secret Study Guide and Practice question supplemented by the recommended PMHN 5th edition by Kim Hutchinson published by ANA. I also purchased Question bank from ANA. Overall, this exam is hard but with proper planning and perseverance, you will pass. Oh don't forget to pray. :) Good luck!
  10. Hi. I have 3 years of experience in a Max Security Psych hospital. My tips for you are: 1. Get a decent shoes. You'll be chased by some psychotic patient LOL 2. Don't take anything seriously. If a patient insulted you just shrug it off. These patients are mentally ill. 3. Learn how to differentiate medical and psych emergencies. Some are fake and some are real. 4. Don't leave your pens around!!! (personal experience) 5. Have fun! Take care of yourself and be sure to destress.
  11. Thanks for all the tips fellow nurses! @Freudianslip: How's the PEARLS Psych certification review prep course? Is it worth the $69? Also what practice questions did you use? I am planning to get the ANCC online practice questions. Thank you!
  12. Hello! I'm scheduled to take the exam in 2 months. Any tips would be great! I bought the book ANCC review book (Green) and an assessment book. Planning to study for 2 months 1-2 hours a day after work. Thanks!
  13. Good day fellow nurses, I'm still lost since I graduated and become a registered nurse. I'm a registered nurse here in New York, and planning to move just to find a job like Nursing Residency or any hospitals that are acquiring Registered nurses without experience. I need help. What are the hospitals that you can recommend? Thank you!
  14. May I know what hospitals you applied into?
  15. @elizald_ex and @angelavenice Sent. Please check your inbox or spam folders. Good luck
  16. I also enrolled for NCSBN learning extension. I passed my nclex at 76 questions. The questions are similar with NCLEX questions and the Infectious part on that reviewer was so helpful, and it was also cheap. So yeah, definitely recommending it.
  17. You can do it again brother. If you need help I can send you via email my review materials that I compiled from various resources and some of them are personally made by me.
  18. @RNacu It depends on what state you registered. @dc mom: New York :)
  19. IMO, the score is not that important as long as you understand the rationale of each question. Don't get discouraged.
  20. Do the PVT! Good luck kapatid!
  21. Thank you! Just focus on questions and don't forget about your fundamentals!
  22. @Yukinara I'm also an international student, I came from the Philippines. The test was a little okay for me, I know that I will do good because I studied so much and pray. If you got a weak part on a particular subject, try to read the topic at least 2x and try to answer a lot of questions about it. I know you can pass too, just pray. Good luck! About the saunders, Yes it helped me a lot about the content, if you have a bad content knowledge, you will do poorly on the exam day. Hmm yeah, but if you experience those "HOLY COW QUESTIONS" just choose the answer where you will not endanger your patient. Try to answer more questions, Google NCSBN Learning extension, they got good question and summarized lectures. You can finish all of that in just 2 weeks if you grind on it. You can do it, God bless!
