  1. I think you are. I've been an LPN 2 years and make$17 in LTC. I don't know if hospitals normally pay more or less.
  2. I am still waiting to see maggots used in a pressure ulcer. That would be neat.
  3. I took my test 2 weeks after graduating.
  4. I worked in a Consignment shop!
  5. When I took mine a few years ago it cut off at 85 and I passed. I think you either did really good or really bad. Good Luck!
  6. Just curious. Do they have an associate degree for LPN's? I'm an LPN and have a technical certificate. I thought an associate degree made you an RN.
  7. Where I work I also work every weekend 7p-7a. I work on a unit from 11p-7a as the only nurse with 50 residents. I have 2 g-tubes sometimes up to 3 IV's and numerous foley's. Oh, and many times I only have 2 cna's. I am lucky when I have 3. Believe it or not where i worked before was even worse. You sound staffed well.
  8. Imyself was 19 when I went into the LPN program. I had not even been a CNA. I passes all labs th efirst try except trach care and had about as much time in class to practice as you did. I guess at 19 you could say I had no life experiences, but all nursing courses I passed with a "B" or above. My GPA when I finished was a 3.2. I graduated at 20 and have now been an LPN for 2 years. It was a very stressful year, but 1 month after graduation I married my boyfriend and am stressing over when I am going back for my ADN.
  9. I've taken pregnancy tests and they are negative. Thanks for the input.
  10. I know gaining weight while on the pill is common. I am 22yo, 5ft. tall and been on the pill for5 years. I stopped 2 months ago in hopes of conceiving. I am not pregnant and have went from 99lbs, to 107 in these 2 months. Is my body just out of wack or what? I have had a period when i went off the pill, last month, and am expecting one in the next week. Iam not eating any more than usual and am exercising some. Please give some input. The weight gain has affected my confidence.
