retaking blood sugars
Pt is a diabetic and accu-cheks ac&hs. At 5 pm bs is 76 At 9 pm bs is 78 So the night nurse wanted me to recheck the bs.... According to our hypoglycemia protocol give juice/d50/glucagon if below 70 then recheck in 15 min. I did check the patients bs and it was 84. The patient was not symptomatic and had been running at that level all day. That's why I didn't recheck it earlier. So when do you retake a patients blood sugar? At certain level?

Purdue Calumet online BSN
I am currently in Purdue's RN to BS program. I'm about halfway into it. Its 15 months long, with 5 week courses. You get one week off between courses. I like that everything is online. Basically each class you have to do discussion boards each week, and write a paper or two. Its not too bad. If you're good at writing papers, it should be easier for you. I hate writing so the writing assignments take up more of my time. Its 325 a credit hour... Overall about 12-13 thousand... Depending on how many non-nursing courses you need
