  1. I'm a relatively new RN on a med/surg floor. The other day I was assigned to float, which basically means I was the med nurse for the floor. A pt was suppose to get Lotensin. BP was 106/72 and HR 70s, so I gave it. The nurse assigned to the pt is also a new RN, and she said that I should not have given it. She said that SBP should be >110 to give the medication. I have always been told to question giving the medication if SBP
