Oh man! That is terrible to hear.. I can’t imagine 16 chapters on a test! That is insane..and it is a very hard class . thanks for taking the time and wrote this, that gives us a good idea and will be prepared for that class. I probably will go part time starting off first semester anyway. And hopefully we have different professor at that time. ?

@Bedawsyay!! Congrats and welcome! I am so happy for you. So exciting we get to start the program together and in the same class! I was told by my old school mate that all first year courses are online. I also looked in registering for class and saw most of our courses before specialty courses are online too. I think we will be taking theory and patho for first semester. Also Our orientation is scheduled next Tuesday 27th on zoom. Email me at [email protected] we can communicate easier that way!

@tamustudent I am in the hybrid program in Houston, but I think our classes will be the same for the first year. I am wondering the same about manageable while working since I am in the outpatient clinic and works M-F. Did they tell you what classes you will be taking first semesters? for me it is patho & theory.

@Bedaws Thank you! Yes it make sense since everyone wants to do the online program definitely fills up quicker and more competitive. I am glad we are all accepted somewhere and congratulations to you as well!! You can also transfer later or start in Summer if you really want attend TWU. Good thing about NP programs is they are really flexible so either way will work out for you! ? Found out last week I was accepted to TWU Houston campus hybrid program. Not sure how different it is to the online program.

Thanks for your feedback guys. By the way, do you guys have a facebook page/forums for NP students? is it pretty active? So far I am not seeing so many students posting things about CW. I am mostly worried about faculty and student support when doing online program.

@Babeebean1 Don't be stressed! Just have good time management and you will be fine. I would love to be in your shoe right now. How long did it take for you to know you got accepted?

Just applied today. Hopefully I will get in and be able to start Spring 2021. How long did you guys waited before hear back a decision? Where do you go to check on the status?

@Bedaws Wow I didn't know people got accepted since Summer? no wonder adviser said I was late. Hmmm but 250 applicants isn't too bad though and I do see people that got in Spring 2021 was offered to start in fall 2020 also. I remember our BSN program had ALOT more applicants. I wish they would accept more students ? I also applied to TWU houston program but I picked online program as my first choice. I am also looking to apply to UTA, chamberlain & waldern but since they have second start date, I decided to wait for TWU first before I apply to other schools. How about you? Have you applied elsewhere? Did the adviser tell you when you will be expecting to hear back?

I applied third week in August, I still haven't heard anything yet. I got my BSN through TWU and my last 60 is horrible. I did speak to the adviser and she said I was kinda late in applying and it is more like first come first serve. But alot of times, people drop at the last minute and we may get in. So it is possible that we may be getting notifications very late. :( Congrats! May I ask how long did you wait before getting the acceptance status? Really hope to get in for Spring 2021 :(

I did lots of studying 6-8 hours for two weeks before my exam. I only studied Hurst and did their 6 Q reviews (750 questions total). I also did about 150 Qs on Uworld and was glad I did because they have very good rationals and the challenging level questions really prepared me on some areas. On my test day, I was very anxious and felt like I forgot everything that morning. I had about 15 sata, 1 put in order, no med calculation, lots of priority and 1 delegation. There were many topics that were not covered in Hurst. So I suggest to look over the green Hesi book or Saunders for a good preparation. My test stopped at 75 Qs after 1 hour 15mins. I rushed through because I didn't want to second guess myself. I only read through the questions twice and picked the best of all. I learned that if I spent too much time on one question, I will keep on changing my answer and that's how I failed my exist Hesi after 4 hours. Our school gave us a chance to retake the Hesi to see if we have improved and I was able to pass the second time after 1 hour 30mins. Honestly, I didn't think I was gonna make it because there were so many questions I either guessed or just had no clue. I tried the PV trick at 11 hr and 26 hr after the test and had good popup. 48 hours after I had my passing status.

I took my test on Feb 2 Tuesday stopped at 75Q and found out today I passed! I did the trick 11hours and 26 hours after. I was told to try the trick by a friend and didn't know anything about the nonrefundable policy. The first time I input my real cc info and had a good popup saying I cannot register at this time. Second time I tried using a expired visa card I also got the same notice. I cannot say if this is truly accurate because I don't know anyone in person that had a bad popup. But after trying both times and getting the same notes, made my feel much better.

Can you name the book titles they give you? My CPR class isn't until next week and I want to order textbooks before school starts. Thanks in advance! I didn't get my blue card as well.. I am going to call and check just to be safe.

Btw do you guys know which book we will be using? Is it still gonna be the same as last semester??

Yea once you pick your classes the charges will be there. They update the charges instantly, way better than some schools, take days to update.

You can check out spring 2014 applicant forum and see the stats of people who made in. I know a student made on waiting list with 2/4 pref 3.8 gpa and 96 on teas. I was pretty surprised. I felt like this year admission was a bit easier than the previous. Good luck!

My TWU friend said they take turn to teach. We will be seeing both of them, so it doesn't matter which you pick.

Yea I was able to register too. I called the office several times regards to the problem you had earlier. I thought that was confusing and hard to figure out lol. Btw there is two teachers for Pharmcology but class time is the same.. Did you just end up pick the first one?

Yea are you talking about the fingerprint? I scheduled to go in tommorow.. for people that haven't made the appointment, you should do it now. It was all booked so I had to pick a place really far from me..

So I just called Immunization department both in Denton and Houston... One lady said she doesn't know about if we need both shots and titer done for MMR. The other said we need both. So I guess... even your lab work shows MMR positive but you cannot find MMR shots record anymore, then it is best to take the shots again. My physician even said it is no need.... well anyone hear different story from school? would like to know thanks!
