  8. I just called the BRN- took the NCLEX on the 15th. They said it will take about 4 weeks-- and that's how it's always been. (Which isn't really true) she said they have everything and I just have to wait. On breeze it says my license is pending and the application is open. I am still getting the good pop up.
  9. Hi! I just took mine on Tuesday w 265 questions and got the good pop up too! Last time I failed and it took me right to the cc page. In regards to the changes or system stuff-- about people taking it recently.. Someone posted that they failed and found out in the mail already after taking it the same day I did. I think we just need to be patient!!!! :)
  10. HI everyone. So I've been on this site so much looking for tips and helpful hints that would help me pass my NCLEX. It been a tough journey but I finally did it.. (I think, haha) Well according to the PVT trick-- I got the good pop up yesterday. PVT TRICK DOES WORK RIGHT??? JUNE I took the NCLEX the 1st time in June and failed with 265 questions. I was beyond devastated.... and all my friends passed it right away and I was really doubting my abilities as a nurse. When I went to take it the 1st time, I was BEYONDDDD nervous.. my nerves definitely got the best of me. I took Kaplan and liked it.. definitely did a lot of questions but just skimmed over the rationales. OCTOBER I know, it was a while since I took it the 1st time, but I kept moving it back because I didn't want to fail again. I was so scared. This time I took Kaplan again online and did hurst online. I LOVED HURST. I knew my material, but I was weak in some areas and HURST fills in the blanks. They put the info in such an easy way to understand and you remember it!!! I can't say enough good things about it. I was still nervous sitting down to take it, but I felt more confident. I honestly thought it was gonna shut off soon... and it went all the way to 265 again. Tried the trick.. and it WORKED!!!!!!!!!!!!! TIPS-- RELAX, RELAX, RELAX. Nerves REALLY do get in the way of concentrating and answering the questions. RELAX, be CONFIDENT and know you can do this. If the test keeps going and going.... ITS OKAY!!!!! This means you are still in this and you only need to focus and get a few more right. I know its so stressful and frustrating but just know you are so close and don't give up!!!! HURST for content review 100%. KAPLAN for questions/HURST had some good ones too. PDA for delegation KAPLAN strategy book is good at breaking down the question and what they are REALLY asking you RATIONALES RATIONALES!!!!! This probably made the biggest difference for me.. READ THE RATIONALES (the ones you got right too!!!) and know WHY you got that one wrong. If you don't understand.. look it up right then. I had a notebook and wrote down ALL the rationales and went over it every day. Review your content and have a good understanding of it. INFECTION CONTROL PRECAUTIONS. So important. Practice Practice PRIORITY questions and what you would do FIRST SAFETY. How are you gonna keep your patient safe? PRAY and HAVE FAITH!!!!!! I literally took like 7 breaks while testing and prayed SOOO much. When I felt frustrated and scared... I said a prayer and tried to regroup and relax. YOU CAN DO THIS!!!!!!! :) :) :) BELIEVE IN YOURSELF.
  11. I reviewed hurst online and I loved it. I feel so much more comfortable w my content which has helped a lot
  12. Thank you for this post! I 100% feel like this was me, I failed the first time too.. And had exhausted myself from studying that I literally just forgot the info. This time around I felt myself start to worry and get tired again and feeling like I'm not doing enough or knowing enough. I take it this week coming up and I just need the confidence because I can do this!!!!!!
  13. Hi everyone! I take the NCLEX again next week and I am freaking out. The previous time- I was very close, 265 questions.. Below the passing line in ine subject and near the rest. I did Kaplan again for questions and did hurst online review which I really felt like helped my weak areas out in content. Anyways.. Doing alternate question types and PDA too. Last time I know I let my nerves get the best of me and this time I can't second guess myself. But I still feel unprepared and scared! My scores have gone up and range from low 60s to mid 70s. I feel like I over think the questions, especially priority questions. Any suggestions would be helpful!!!! I just want this so bad!!!
  14. Thanks everyone!!! I take it in about 2 weeks. I seem to be getting higher scores on Kaplan and I am reading all the rationales and understanding why I am getting them right or wrong. I am still SO terrified but want this so bad and just want to pass!!!!
  15. Hi guys! I took the NCLEX back in June and failed w 265 questions. I was near the passing line in every subject but one. Since then- I took a break and really started studying since aug. I did Kaplan before and I am doing it again along w hurst (which I loved) PDA, and alternate format questions. I have severe test anxiety and I am so scared to take it again. I am scheduled to take in kid oct. Any suggestions ?!? I want this SOO bad, I am just so terrified on failing again I felt last time that priority and teaching questions were the main focus.
  16. Hi everyone! So I failed the nclex the first time in June with 265 questions and was near the passing standard on every section but one. I purchased the Saunders book to review and helpful flash cards. I did do kaplan and loved the questions which I plan on doing again. My question is-- is hurst worth it/ helpful?!? Any suggestions would be appreciated thanks!!
  17. I failed the NCLEX the first time with 265 questions-- and was only below the passing line I one of the sections. I am using Kaplan again (review book/questions) And PDA. I am thinking of getting the Saunders book for content Any suggestions for people who are visual learners? I wanted to get the NCLEX flash cards, the illustrated NCLEX review book and maybe the alternate questions book. Any suggestions would be helpful! Thank you!!!!!!
  18. I used Kaplan before as well, and my scores were between 55-68% and I read all the rationales.
  19. I am planning on retaking the NCLEX as soon as the 45 days are up-- mid August. I got 265 questions the first time and the results showed I was near/above the passing line on all the sections except one I was below. I am doing Kaplan again-- questions/ review book And I have the PDA book. Any other suggestions good for reviewing content or questions? I am a visual learner and I've found illustrations help a lot. I am extremely anxious.. I just want to pass this time around!!!!
  20. Thank you everyone. I was near the passing line in every section but one. Is that good? I did Kaplan.. So I'm not sure if I should do a big review on the content.. Or do More questions?!?
  21. Thank you everyone for the support!!!! Do u guys suggest hurst/ Saunders or anything else besides Kaplan!?
  22. I took my NCLEX a few days ago and just found out I didn't pass. I had all 265 questions and it took me 5 1/2 hrs to complete. I took the Kaplan course and completed 99% of the w bank.. All the trainers/ alternate question types. I didn't find the exam to be impossible and I had a lot of SATAs, a few drug cal, lots of drag and drops and pictures. I also studied the review content guide from Kaplan and did questions from the PDA. My overall performance said I was near the passing line in all areas except one I was below... What do I do now?? I feel defeated.. But I know I can do this. Any other tips??? Thank you !
  23. Hi everyone! I take the NCLEX In a few days and I am so so nervous. I took the kaplan review course/ finished 97% of the q bank so far. I've watched some videos and have done the alternate questions. I've reviewed the Kaplan book as week as the study guide from here, and the NCLEX cram sheet. I am also doing the LaCharity questions... But I still don't feel prepared. Any suggestions??? I'm so nervous! Thanks!
